it's obvious his voice was not well, and yet he tried to sing
piano duet to his ablitiy
Oh, I don't think it's that he's sick. Have you ever seen any live performance of SEVENTH HEAVEN, Ibara no Namida, or HONEY? Pretty much any performance where he has to both play the guitar and sing ensures that the vocals will be slightly less than perfect as he has to divide his attention between the two. That's why the live performances of SWEET DREAMS always features him singing a lot quieter than we know he's capable of.
The thing you have to remember about vocalists is that their voice is just as much an instrument as a guitar, bass, or drum set is. It needs be tuned, exercised, and frequently maintained. You can't just DECIDE to sound good. A vocalist who is at the peak of his health can sound terrible while an incredibly ill vocalist can sound wonderful. (See: 666 tour's performance of PRAYER versus the FAITH tour's performance of the same song. HYDE was sick when he performed the 666 video of it and sounded wonderful, but in good health during the FAITH recording of it yet didn't sound quite as good) I think that's what a lot of people seem to misunderstand. Some people may have "natural" talent for singing, but that doesn't mean they don't have to try.
Although I will give you that HYDE sounds like he desperately needs a glass of water. I'm assuming this song was performed immediately after two other songs, and this song in particular requires holding notes for a rather long time. So it takes a lot of vocal strength to pull it off. It probably wouldn't hurt the band to take a water break before playing this song in the future.
EDIT - God, and don't scare me with the topic title! Gosh! I nearly had a heart attack :C

Excuse you, Ibara no Namida performances are perfection! And he did not play any instrument in SEVENTH HEAVEN.
I think he just didn't sound that good in Beauty and the Beast con. The other vids of the same con wasn't exactly flawless as well.. but i'm not worried bout him losing his voice or anything. His voice may be like that due to lack of usage/practice, need time to adjust/familiarized, etc. since Beauty and the Beast con was during the start of the tour... I think.
Actually i believe this concert he actually was sick with a cough of some sort. I can't remember what exactly because its been a while back. But I think he was either just getting over it or he was still battling it. Either way you can tell his voice isn't up to par. Lol I know I'm defending Hyde :O lol.
But!!! Kazu is sexy playing guitar and the air blowing on him and that tight shirt :P sexy I noticed that Kazu isn't singing with him as he did later on in the tour O.o unless he's really really quiet but usually you can always hear him when he sings the one part with him.

Hardly. They often suffer from nasality and crackyness. I'm not saying they're bad by any means and they're usually some of my favorite performances, sometimes even because of their vocal problems. Also, my mistake. I meant HEAVEN'S DRIVE. Lol.

That is also true. Every vocalist has a day where their vocals just tend to suffer. It's a common thing. One minute they can sound beautiful and the next minute they suffer through all the high notes.

Now that you mention it, I think I remember that too. Even in that case though, it's not anything to get particularly worked up about, I think =P - The way the original poster talks of it, it's like he/she is afraid he's going to die of a terminal illness or something.

I believe Ju-Ken is doing backup in this performance. It's not unheard of for VAMPS to switch positions like that. (I've heard that sometimes K.A.Z sings the "GO!" part in HUNTING that Ju-Ken usually sings/shouts/talks)

your answer (not that you asked a question, R.A.I.N. ^ ^) lies in all of the preceding comments. but whether sick (i also think there was mention of that) or just a bad day (remember Shibuya 7 dvd?), this was recorded in mid-July, before the world tour etc. so, it was not a permanent thing. no need to panic. :)
i remember he was sick, he mentioned about it before the tour start . he sound as bad as the other 2 performances (revolution & rumble)
this one good at the beginning ...
