RE: New album [BUTTERFLY] - Video Preview
really glad to see Bye Bye. since it was introduced at 15th L'Anni, it has seemed like they just forgot about it.
i expected this to be a gathering of all of the singles since KISS. hoped there would be a bit MORE new material. but this is the most likely album to be released just before the world tour, imo. they probably think more people [especially overseas fans]will buy it since they are more likely to play more known songs on tour than just new material. look at the difference between the overseas L'7 shows and the domestic or TOK just prior.
however, they don't count on our voracious appetite for new material. overseas fans might be more familiar with old stuff than domestic, as we have been playing catch up, in many cases. plus, we don't do singles and albums quite the same in the west, i don't think. most fans who have managed to start collecting the cds will have gotten the singles, some in multiple copies to get all of the different goodies in ltd and regular version. so, an album would be expected to be 75% new rather than the other way around.
at any rate, if i can manage to get the album, hyde's book, VAMPS dvds, AND go to new york, i might be able to survive into april.

RE: New album [BUTTERFLY] - Video Preview
While I was a little disappointed to know that there would only be four new songs, one of which is only new to being recorded in a studio, I really must say that the four new songs are worth purchasing on their own. Besides, it's about time that DRINK IT DOWN, SHINE, and NEXUS 4 were put on one album anyway, so I don't have to get the single. (Not that I would mind having the single as well; it's just more convenient and cost-effective to get the album)
I saw these videos earlier and decided to save my comment for later. Unfortunately, the videos seem to have been made private, so I'm going to have to post this from memory.
Bye Bye is simply beautiful. Wonderful ballad, and surprisingly... very festive. Perhaps it's just me but it seems like if anything should have been released just before Christmas, it should have been this song. If the video hadn't been made private, I could probably comment more on Mirai Sekai but I remember it being equally beautiful and thoroughly enjoyable.
EDIT - Found another upload on YouTube. Mirai Sekai is great, but it starts off a little too much like the L'Acoustic version of I'm so happy. =x - But IT'S FORGIVEN BECAUSE THAT BASS SOLO IN THE BRIDGE. OH MY GOSH SO BEAUTIFUL <3
The last two songs are amazing as well, and a really great throwback to their first two albums, in my opinion. The guitar playing in both Wild Flower and Shade of Season is amazing. I wish the bass were a bit more prominent as it was in the Dune and Tierra eras, but it's still played pitch-perfectly as always. Of course, the drums and vocals are also amazing. For better or for worse, you can definitely see a bit of VAMPS influence in Wild Flower. I personally find it to be a good thing as I do love VAMPS and this should hold my withdrawal for new material for a bit.
EDIT 2 - Found SoS again too. Amaazing as well!

What?!? No HYDE book in there????
Yeah, I hear you. They are stripping our wallets down to the bone. This is just too much too close together. Problem is, if you don't get it now, it will cost you twice as much later on.

I wonder how much thought the staff put into all these release dates. Albums, dvds, book, concert tickets (then merch), hotel rooms, flights/car gas, everyone broke from Christmas...
So much money to be spent over so little time! It's exciting to get new releases, but damn with all the expenses to consider people are going to need 6 jobs, haha.

I suppose they had to put it out before they started touring again so that fans would purchase and then pay for the lives and tour merchandise. So far, I've got what I wanted except for the VAMPS Beast in the World. It just may not happen. The yen staying strong against the dollar is not helping either.

Now with the Hawaii date, I don;t know if I should hit that date as well, wich will mean that maybe I'll get the DVD's AFTER THE CONCERTS making flight, hotel and etc costs my priority...maybe the overseas/USA management doesn't know about marketing plans :S

Then they should be reading this forum!!!!
The Hawaii, to me, is real iffy. I wouldn't want to pay for only one live and not be able to see the other one due to "tour package" restrictions. That would kill me to be in the park and hear them but not be able to see them at all.
Not to even think about the cost of it..........
