RE: theater version of 20th L'Anniversary live
Oh, let me Bask in the state, in the warmth, in the heat of L'Arc-euphoria for tonight!
Oh, the hyde dance~ Everyone get up and do it at your screen, immediately! Don't you feel better?!
Rightfully, a concert of that scope should have been screened in a 35mm theater, even to a small audience, since it was only for one night. However, here it played in a multiplex, with a screen of a size that cannot overwhelm, no matter how close you get.
Nevertheless, to see them in close-up 100 times bigger than life, and hear them on a theater sound system, oh, Divine. The instant the movie ended, there were these spontaneous sounds of pained separation from us, the audience~ we were with them, they were there, and then, the pain of longing.
hyde was golden.
Ken cut such a dashing hot figure, pulling diamond sharp music out of that guitar.
I loved hearing Tetsuya solo, it gleamed. He gleamed - he was supercharged! (What, no P'unk~en~Ciel? )
The cryptic Yuki finally looked pleased and happy! What a powerhouse, Acid Android indeed! (Word to the fashion: I loved what he wore the second day.)
There were times when I thought they seemed a little - what's the word? - well, not entirely free to let go, with all they had to attend to, the huge responsibility of getting it right at an event like that, with rain pouring down on the equipment and a city full of people, all the things that could go wrong and didn't. Even then, the quality was always there. How does anyone have the shear stamina, I always wonder? But those were mixed with times they really did just throw themselves into it and seem to be full of joy and shine.
I know I'm preaching to the choir, I know I'm fawning. I say it anyway.
How did you all enjoy it?
Later, later, I want to discuss your practical point, Cath, and more about promotion.
I am the Desire...
The need for fresh .blOod VAMPS is strong in me.

RE: theater version of 20th L'Anniversary live
same as Seattle, WA!!!
only about 20 fans showed up, I was shocked!!
No line, no wait, no standing, just like sitting in front of a big screen watching a movie, everyone is so quiet!!!
I thought it will be much more fun!
I also got one of the ad flyer.
As for the World Tour, I hope L'Arc~en~Ciel will perform in CA or somewhere in the West Coast cuz it's too expensive to fly to NY + hotel and other fees.
I know the NY concert ticket will cost around US$110 to $150 ?
Does anyone know anything about it ?
Thanks!

Attendance at the Orange County venue was very sparse. Only about 20 of us showed up. Hopefully LA fared better.
I hope this wasn’t being used as a feeler as to where to have future L’Arc activities.
I was able to snag one of the advertsing fliers.

Yeah, it was watching them larger-than-life on that big screen that made it so enjoyable. My TV is not all that big so getting to see the show on that screen was worth every penny of the ticket. I hope they do it again some time in the future.

I was also amazed at how quiet it was. About half the audience was in front of me. Most of the people just sat there. Sat there! How the heck can you just sit there and not move?
I was rocking in my seat to all of the songs and singing quietly along to some. There was one Japanese girl in front of me who was also rocking out. How can you sit there when you hear the music that you love so much? My body won't let me. Sometimes I have to sit on my hands if I listen to them in public. The music just takes over your soul.
When you hear Link don't you just automatically do the hand claps? I even hit the steering wheel when I am driving. How can you just sit there?
Sigh.........................
