This is wonderful news, i just started watching this series today because of this annoucement and from what I've seen it's quite good. VIZ holds the rights to this series for America and have released 2 volumes of bakuman already (They've also sold pretty well with both being in the top ten books for the month). I'm pretty sure they'll have atleast the first 13 episodes of the anime released by fall of next year since VIZ is usually good at releasing things at a good pace after japan publishes them.

Don't know if this was posted elsewhere but I saw on the VAMPS site that Hyde's debut on Bakuman will be on the episode airing on Feb 26th. This is awesome for me as that day also happens to be my birthday. OMFGHAPPYBIRTHDAYTOHARUMI 8D First kagen no tsuki deluxe box set on my 19th Birthday. And now anime Hyde on my 25th! Yayayayay!!!
Ever since this thread began, I've been watching bakuman on animecrazy.net....actually a pretty good show, but I can relate a lot because it reminds me a lot of me and my friend when we first started writing and illustrating together in high school (art in my profile pic is a drawing of me by her ^^). They post the episodes pretty fast. Theyre up early Sat morning in raw form and I guess they're usually subbed by Sunday.

Thanks for informing us!!! I've been watching just to see hyde. Don't get me wrong, the anime is pretty good. I've marathon'd 100 some chapters of the manga in 2 weeks because the anime got me hooked. I like it a lot although it gets pretty repetitive. It seems the anime is taking a different directions with fillers. And one of those fillers being hyde. lol also... happy early birthday! :)

hypehypehype!!! This is similar to previous vid posted but with a bit more info. It seems the dude doing the voice for the character koogy on bakuman is doing a VAMPS cover single with GET UP and EUPHORIA.
Want the anime Hyde cardboard cutout (*^*)

Agreed. It is dragging a bit. But most anime is drawn out with tons of filler and very formulaic plots. The exception being, imo, Death Note which, incidentally, was made by the same guys that did bakuman. But at least bakuman doesn't drag and recycle episodes like some of the more mainstream stuff. That gets exhausting. That's why I prefer manga. I've been wanting to read bakuman but I have no idea where to get the raws online (I'd prefer to read them in Japanese) Might just have to order them one by one as money allows...

i've watched the 1st dozen or so episodes, got behind recently. but i noticed you hear Koogy singing Get Up! in the background a good bit any time there is an ad/poster up on a wall out in public or in fast food places or something. i need to catch back up as it is almost time for Hyde's episode(s).
looks like the Koogy version of G.U! and Euphoria are gonna be released as a single if i understood that clip Harumi linked to. i've seen something up on HMV, but haven't really checked to see what it was. cool, i guess.
side note, but has anyone seen the Monthly VAMPS 14 yet? covers the Halloween shows. and the Japan BEAST Tour Photobook is now out too. both released for Valentine's.
i'm with you guys when it comes to broke. between VAMPS and L'Arc, i am cleaned out for a while. lol but worth it. ^ ^
