Cameras? - chandelierswing - 10-03-2010
Thumbs down, simply because it's noooot cool. Out of curiosity, I'd like one of you smart-beans to answer my simple question for me. "Why are there no cameras allowed?" Is it the staff hogging all of the vampie-goodness? Or is it pirating-reasons? :I
Whatever the cause, it dun matta.
I'm bringing my camera to record the line, and just chill out with fellow vampies. What are everyone's plans for line-waiting? c:

It's because VAMPS doesn't allow it. Even with his solo activities and L'arc~en~Ciel, HYDE hasn't allowed cameras in for any of his concerts, just like Miyavi as well. They prefer that you watch the concert yourself and enjoy the music while it's there rather than watching everything through a little screen.
So it is the artists, not the venue.

I'm going to bring my camera to the line, but I will definitely be dumping it at the hotel before the concert starts. Some people actually do respect the artist's wishes, and VAMPS do not want you to take pictures. Sometimes you should just make sure the people you are hating on for whatever reasons actually deserve it, hm?

@Roentgen483:
Logical reason, makes complete sense. I figured it was the venue before, because last year they made us keep our electronics in their little store-room, and we had to line up. Figured it was the venues that decided that. Knowing it's the band's decision makes me respect it, because there's actually a reason for it. So thanks! :)
@Inkcharm:
I'm going to ignore that last remark, because it doesn't add up. But thanks for the explanation. And yes, I'm a hater, to be honest. Which is why I'm going to their New York show. For the second time. Hopefully the sarcasm transfered well.

Yepp! No problem. I didn't know when I went to Seattle to see them last year and had to run 30 minutes to, then back, from the hotel!
Also, as forwarning incase you bring it for the line and just bring it in. I went to see Miyavi in Chicago and they never said anything about not being allowed cameras, and I had had it in my purse. They charged me $5 to confiscate it, lol, so just as a heads up they may charge you for coat check

Well bump that I took my phone and took photos and a small video. I couldn't help it I consider it as a once in a life thing for me so I had to take shots.
