And here I never even tried to order anything from a Japanese site because I thought they wouldn't accept my American VISA! Did you ever try to get Hydeist goods?? I wanted that HELLO shirt so bad back in the day but I think I might have tried and it said it wouldn't accept non-Japanese funds? Is the International shipping cost pretty steep on that though too?
Yes, I have bought Hydeist goods. It works, because the Hydeist goods are sold thru Artist Deli, and any Artist Deli shop accepts American VISA~
Since sites like Artist Deli etc don't offer international shipping, I use a separate mail forwarding service. It's usually about $25-30 shipping per package by EMS but if you use a different service, maybe you can choose cheaper/slower shipping.
It's too bad you couldn't get the HELLO shirt, it's gorgeous ;__; Maybe you can find it through auctions someday~? or is it super rare? I've never checked for it so I don't know

So what you mail it somewhere and then use the mail forwarding service to have it mailed to the US? Lol this is important info because I've missed out on years of things I could have bought from Japan because I thought they wouldn't send it to my American address...and I'm so homesick for Japan it makes me sick at times >.<

For example... the mail forwarding service that I use is tenso.com
When you sign up with them they give you an address, (sort of like a P.O. Box address) and you use that initially when you order from Japanese webshops. When your items arrive to the tenso address, you pay them the international shipping cost + tenso fee (usually about 500 yen I think). FYI some problems I've noticed with using tenso are:
- you can only use EMS shipping which is pretty expensive (but fast!)
- you can only consolidate/combine packages once... so if you have several items coming at once, make sure you wait til they all arrive and combine them together.

That makes sense actually....and I can order from places like Japanese Amazon, etc? I'm sure it would have to be bigger outfits to accept American credit cards.........but the international fee plus 500 yen seems like it would be pretty steep......is it best to just go through sites like yesasia and fujisan? That's what I've been doing......but merchandise can be kinda limited sometimes....

It's up to you what you want to use, but I usually go through tenso just for items I can't get in another site. >o<
