I haven't received the limited DVD edition of Devil Side yet so I am wondering the whole time what is meant by this "director's cut" in the tracklist:

1. [CD] DEVIL SIDE
2. [CD] LIVE WIRE
3. [DVD] PV "DEVIL SIDE"
4. [DVD] "DEVIL SIDE" DIRECTOR'S CUT

Does anybody know?

And something else, for Love addict and the other pvs there are "making of"s on YouTube - where are they actually from?

The 'making of' videos are included on the limited edition DVD's, for each single, along with the PV. They shoot footage during the production of the PV, for an extra behind-the-scenes feature, for fans.

I especially like the music box-like soundtrack on the making-of video for Love Addict and its visual style.

Speaking as someone who hasn't seen *this* Director's cut, yet, a director's cut is usually a different edit of a video or film, the director's preferred way of 'cutting' the footage and putting it together.

In film, sometimes the way the studio wants the film to be cut is different than the director's preferences. For example, maybe the studio thinks the director's version is too long or that it will change the rating of the film, and all this might make it less commercial. So, there's the release in theaters. But on video, they can afford to issue a Director's Cut, to give people a choice, and some people want to see it the way the director intended it.

In this case, it's probably the PV the way it's intended to be shown on music programming, and then another version of the PV, the director's cut. It will be interesting to see the difference! It sounds like they're both to be on the DVD, in the limited edition of the single.
...P.S. - What *I'm* really wondering is, could that be Seo Taiji's Live Wire, they're covering?!? I love that song! I'm really excited about the possibility of hearing them perform it Icon_heartbeat

Well, it's not a making of. Mme. H is correct, it's just a different cut of the video.

I liked it! Not as many shots of Hyde, alas, but a couple new ones, as well as of Ju-ken. Gratuitous booty never hurt anybody either. I like the ending better too.
