To you who know this venue - please answer right away! Does GAMH let dinner ticket holders in earlier? How is the view from the dinner seating? About how far away is dinner seating from the stage?
There's no one answering at the venue, right now. I wish I'd called them earlier, I just didn't think ahead.
When I called GAMH's ticket buying number, they tell me that you cannot upgrade a regular ticket to a dinner ticket, so I'm trying to decide.
Also, to share some other info I just got from calling GAMH's ticket buying phone number - (this comes from people answering phones in NY, so they don't know the venue personally, just sell tickets by phone) - when I asked about getting hold of your ticket in advance, instead of will-call, so you would be a ticket-holder when you arrive, they told me that in their experience, sometimes there are options to get your tickets in advance, and sometimes not. This sometimes includes the option to print your own tickets out, at home. They said that they won't know, themselves, what options are available for ticket delivery, until the tickets go on sale and they can see the event on their screen.
They charge a few dollars extra service fee for helping you buy by phone, instead of online or at the venue.

The seating for the dinner portion is determined by the band, however, I was told that bands usually have the dinner seat in the balcony area. If you want your tickets ASAP, print them out at home.

The problem was, the website says, "*Tickets purchased online will be held at Will Call and can be only picked up on the evening of the show starting 1/2 hour before doors open with your photo ID." No mention of other options for delivery or print out. And when I called their ticket number, they said they wouldn't know till the tickets were actually on sale, whether other methods of delivery or printing would be available, for this show.
By now, I'm sure the question can be answered by them, now that tickets are on sale. I was just trying to find out, in advance. I still haven't decided on what kind of ticket to get, and since you can't upgrade, I haven't bought one yet, this past 45 minutes.
I do have my Avalon ticket, though! Yeay!

Of course it's not about the food - ha, I'm not dying to eat at a VAMPS concert! It's about the other advantages to the dinner ticket, if there are any. That's what I'm asking about. But by now, someone at the venue may answer the phone, for a couple of these questions.
Thanks for the good wishes on getting my ticket soon! I'm tight for money till next month, which is tomorrow, so if I got the more expensive ticket, I'd probably get it tomorrow.
I dearly hope the boys will decide to add on some shows, but at the same time, I think of the lyrics to Sweet Dreams, and feel it's selfish, when they might be spending *some* time with loved ones instead of working every day of the year.
I haven't looked at the over all schedule - do they even have time for more shows?

It could be that they are waiting to see how the ticket sales go. If they sell out, or almost, perhaps they will add more shows. ????
Cath, yes, that may be their plan.
And according to the nice person I just spoke to at GAMH, tickets are selling at a good pace. Remember how planning was so last-minute, last year, and people were struggling to get affordable flights, or any flights, couldn't get time off work so quickly, didn't have time to save money for it, etc? I think this year, they'll get a much better turn out, in the numbers.
But it must be said, they won't find an audience who loves them any more than we, who emptied our pockets, survived crazy, last minute travel plans, and bore the sweltering heat, following them across country, only to be melted entirely by VAMPS, in the flesh.

The person on the phone today told us that it did not matter which ticket you bought as one group does not enter before the other. Dinner means dinner and not an earlier admission.

Hey! Yes, as of 10:03 am this morning, I had my tickets for the S.F. show. I bought the tickets for L.A. yesterday, so I look forward to seeing you guys again. ;)
