Then come all the usual names, with a disappointing rank for Namie Amuro whose DVDs used to get more votes than in this year's survey. Once again, the female massive vote for KAT-TUN was crucial, since Namie ranks 3rd behind L'Arc and Ayu among male participants. Thanks for sharing! Hopefully, VAMPS will be ranked higher next year. ;) Much VAMPS-love, H.P. RE: FRENCH J-MUSIC AWARDS 2009 - VAMPkito - 03-07-2010 Great to see L'Arc and VAMPS doing so well. ^^ - Thanks for sharing! I GOTTA KICK START NOW getting third place for "Best Single From A Male Band Or Band With Male Lead Vocals" is also a warm welcome, though I was actually expecting EVANESCENT to lead them to #1 on the chart. Chiefly because... well... it's an amazing song. Ken got "Best Male Solo Album" ... And I have yet to even listen to IN PHYSICAL. Wow, I am terrible T_T On a few different notes, it's funny how having an opening theme for Fullmetal Alchemist assures you a spot at the top of a list. *points towards YUI's song "again" being top for "Best Female Solo Single Of The Year 2009"* Don't get me wrong, it's an amazing song and probably deserves to be somewhere at least in the top 5, but it seems like it only got so far because of its affiliation with Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood rather than because of its musical quality. Also not surprised to see Gackt winning top place in the Best Male Solo Single. Again, don't get me wrong, I'm not implying Gackt is a horrible musician... but the song that was chosen was not so great =/ - Of course, I actually don't think I like any of his songs that have been released for the past three years. The last song by him I really enjoyed was RETURNER ~yami no shuuen~. It seems to me that the only thing keeping him on top is that he has so many fans from a vast array of different medias (one of the most predominate being Final Fantasy VII). But despite the downhill direction in his music, I -will- give him credit that his change in musical quality shows that he is not afraid to experiment, as opposed to just giving us the same thing over and over again, which is very good for a musician even if the end product is not so great. Anyway, I'd better shut up now before the more... um... religious Gackt fans kill me. Okay, before I start rambling on about other controversial things, I'll sum it up right here- VAMPS and L'Arc are doing great. Let's do our best to spread the love of both of them (as well as the other L'Arc members' side projects... need to listen IN PHYSICAL before I die. :X) so that they may get even higher success this year and yadda-yadda-yadda. Sorry, I suck at motivational speeches. RE: FRENCH J-MUSIC AWARDS 2009 - Usagi Hoshino - 03-07-2010 Yay! It's good to see them going up in international charts as well ^^! France is definitely a stop this year for them =P RE: FRENCH J-MUSIC AWARDS 2009 - Hedelex - 03-07-2010 Congrats to L'arc and VAMPS!! And... I do like Gackt :-p What I honestly don't like very much is KAT-TUN, I saw that Queen of Pirates DVD, and despite the incredible production, the music reminds me too much of BSB but without the vocal treats. RE: FRENCH J-MUSIC AWARDS 2009 - Guest - 03-07-2010 Glad to see L'Arc at the top of course ;) Also, I just need to say, Gackt is an amazing musician. Although he does have a large fanbase, I highly doubt that would be the case if his music was awful. Also, Gackt being a perfectionist, would not allow that to happen. :) I also have to disagree with his music going downhill. I think in the past three years he has shown us what a versatile artist he is (with tracks such as Jesus and Koakuma Heaven ) maintaining the high standard we are used to seeing in Gackt's music. Just my two cents. ;) Gakkuhai (<--I can't find my password!) |
