Vamps Addict = Hydeist? - Usagi Hoshino - 08-24-2009
Hi!
1. I'm planning on joining VampsAddict. But I've many questions regarding the club. My japanese is limited so I thought I'd better ask you guys! I know there are many of you that are part of Hydeist.
2. From what I understand if you are part of Hydeist you are part of Vamps Addict. Does it work the other way around?
3.Will I get both ID cards?
4.How many packages from them (magazines or whatever they send) should I expect and with what frequency? (So I can calculate the shipping costs).
5.What has been your overall experience with the clubs?
6.Now this has nothing to do with Vamps but I thought I could ask as well: Is Le-Ciel still active? I also want to join there because of the 2011 anniversary!

If you join vamp addict you will also have access to hydeist.. I'm not sure if you get a hydeist membership card or what though. if you go to hydeist and try to login you will see it also accepts VNC numbers now as well and those are the vamp addict logins
I believe you will get 4 VAMPS times in the mail each year.. with celga I paid $17 for EMS shipping on VAMPS times

You dont get HYDEIST times anymore its vamps times now. HYDEIST times was an electronic newspaper and you had the option of buying the paper version if you wanted to or not. VAMPS times is only a paper version. So yes you still have full access to hydeist its just they're no hydeist times anymore.

How DO you join if you don't have a Japanese address? I thought you needed one? I've been wanting to join for so long, but I've been under the impression you need to live in Japan.

You dont get HYDEIST times anymore its vamps times now. HYDEIST times was an electronic newspaper and you had the option of buying the paper version if you wanted to or not. VAMPS times is only a paper version. So yes you still have full access to hydeist its just they're no hydeist times anymore.

I have someone that's going to be sending me the packages from Japan, so I'm going to use their address and my name ^^. I'll just have to pay for the shipping fee and club fee.

There isn't a members card for VAMPADDICT but I'm pretty sure you would get a Hydeist members card the same as members who joined before VAMPADDICT opened.
And Le-Ciel, it is still active but pretty slow at the moment. They still send the magazine 4 times a year, and on the site they put up reports (pics/diaries) about each member 4 times a year too.

Are you sure there is no member card for VAMP ADDICT? because we got an email when the switch happened that mentioned if members of HYDEIST wanted a VAMP ADDICT ID we would need to pay a fee to get a new member card, so I think they must be generating VAMP ADDICT cards. Perhaps it is just a HYDEIST card with the VNC prefix??
I could be wrong though - someone who has signed up as a Vamp Addict would know better than me since I signed up when it was just HYDEIST.
Overall club experience - I really like HYDEIST because it has a great sense of community since you can interact with other fans and HYDE, there are screensavers, card games, loads of pictures and it is overall a really cute website.
Vamp Addict seems more like Le Ciel - no interaction at the moment, just information. It is pretty new, so I don't know how it will change with time.
RE: Le Ciel - yes it is still active, but as mentioned - a little slow, but it is kept current with all the projects the guys are working on, and it gives you access to buy Mukimpo goods
(I am still hoping for them to sell a Mukimpo plushie again - my Le Ciel Plushie and my Ken Lion Plushie need some company!)

I tried placing my name and got errors.
「ローマ字(苗字) 」は半角英字で記述して下さい。
「ローマ字(名前) 」は半角英字で記述して下さい。
How did you write your names?
