VAMPS - New Poster Promotion - VAMPS + American Street Team + - 06-15-2009
Hey everyone! So, as you guys may already know, VAMPS have new poster designs out that need to be plastered everywhere. ;) The new posters need to be poster in as many places as possible in order to promote the tour. If you haven't seen the new poster designs, where have you been!? *j/k* Go here to check it out:

If you interested in helping to promote the tour, we need between 10-20 people in each city to send Ai Aota your mailing address and these VAMPS-tastic new posters will be sent to you in order to post them around your city. Now, I haven't been able to confirm whether or not they want people only in the cities in which VAMPS' shows will take place, or if it's any city in the U.S. More than likely, they want people from San Francisco, L.A., S.D., Vegas, Baltimore, Hartford, NYC, Seattle, Portland, and Columbia.
Once you have received the new posters, your job is to post them in different places (obviously). However, you must also take a picture of the location in which you have posted the poster. Here are some examples:

But yeah, in a response Ai asked me if she sent me posters, if I could do something like that again... and I mean, I live near NYC, I have the ability to go there and put up posters.
My only problem is I'm not sure WHERE exactly to put them up. I know of 3 Japanese bookstores that I could do, and my friend suggested I go to Irving Plaza and see if they can hang one up inside or outside (you know how sometimes venues have posters of up coming bands inside? I could do that... Irving Plaza is really only open inside though on nights of shows, I believe though. x_x) I just...don't know where else.

How far are you from Times Square? The Virgin Megastore might be a good place, although, I visited Times Square on a Sunday when I was there and the store appeared to be closed. I think ANY music stores would be good, as well as any Hot Topic stores or rock-related stores would be good. It's a stretch, but I think even music stores where they sell instruments would be good places too. Maybe even try a chain store like Target or something. I don't know how effective that will be, but it's worth a shot if they let you. ;)

I believe the Virgin Megastore in Time Square is closing/closed for good.
But I agree, music stores, venues, and 'scene' places are probably good. Rock-type clothing stores, skate parks(?), anywhere that has people who might be interested.
Can posters be put up in the subway or light posts? If not, then in windows in shops along popular streets is good. The more people to see the poster, the better.
(I'm sad! I wanted to go to the Megastore one day. I've been to NY before but I don't think we went in the store.)

I sent an email with my address again requesting some of the new posters. I've got half-sheet flyers that I made that I've been hanging up everywhere, but I'd love some of those new posters. *crosses fingers* Has anyone received the new ones yet?

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that the Virgin Megastore is closed... or at least almost there :P
I can think of a few other music stores like that in NYC that missy can go to..... we'll be sure to make a list :)

I know the Virgin Megastore in Times Square is closing or closed already, but as far as I know the one in Union Square is still open, which is right down the road from Irving Plaza~ (I maybe have wondered around in their while waiting for MUCC back in December. xD)
I'm not sure about in the subway, that might not work, but I could try and even tape a few fliers to light posts, that would work.
Thanks for the suggestions guys, I'll definitely figure something out. ^_^ (I'll be in the city on Friday, but I doubt the posters will be here by then... but I'll also be in the city on the 26th, so it's okay, I can do it then too~.)

I came home from work to find the new posters had arrived. They are quite nice.

Hey I live in NYC!!!! If they send me the new posters I will surely go spread them all over the place. I know several good stores to go to, and some other places in the city. I have a couple of days off so I have the time! I emailed them a while ago and didn't get anything so I sent an email once again tonight. I hope they send me something because I am so close I can go to all the music stores I know of and other places. It is really easy for me.
