JRR VAMPS Street Team - Tokio - 06-06-2009
JrockRevolution.com is starting their own VAMPS street team, for anyone who is interested. I'm not sure if they're going to work with the current street team, or if it's going to be separate.

I think is going to be a JRR street team that promotes different things like the otakon concerts, the Anime expo and Vamps. And since they are asking for volunteers I doubt they are going to contact any of us =/

I figure that they are an addition to us. Perhaps J sat on someone there since he is back in the USA. They should have started their efforts earlier, but at least they have now joined in with the advertising. The more promtion the better.

As long as they don't get credit for the work we've already done, then I'm okay.

Well I figure that VAMPS management knows what we have done already so they shouldn't get credit for any of that. Plus who knows who they will get to help out? I think that this forum has already captured the core fandom here in the states who are willing to promote. I'm personally not signing up on Jrock because my efforts stay with this group where I started out.

...maybe I'm misunderstanding something, from but what I understood, the JRR Street Team has nothing to do with the VAMPS Street Team. JRR is simply going to promote the JrockRevolution.com website at Otakon, Anime Expo, and Vamps concerts. ...that's what I understood about it, at least. o_O
RE: JRR VAMPS Street Team - Tokio - 06-06-2009
Maybe?
Sounded like they were going to help promote Otakon/AnimeExpo/VAMPS. Why would they need 3 different street teams if they're promoting one website? o.O
If they're only going to promote the website, then screw that. I'm not whoring out for JRR if they're not going to support the band.

This is what is on their website.
JrockRevolution.com will be closely following this tour. Not in or near one of these cities? Worry not, friends, street team activities need not be confined to just these cities. Take part in spreading the word on the internet in your favorite forums, website, communities, webrings and beyond. If you're in one of the above cities and are willing to flier - make sure to note it! Have a local group ready to make a joint effort? Let us know you're connected!
To me, it sounds like they want people to promote the tour. But they are duplicating what we have already done. But more promotion is more promotion and the more networking is done then the more the word gets out about VAMPS tour. Hopefully they will reach a few more people!

Yeah it seems like they're trying to promote the tour. Which is good. I just don't want someone else coming in and acting all official or something and pushing us out, when we've been working so hard and shelling out tons of our own cash for promotional stuff. I was thinking about signing up through JRR just so that I didn't really have to worry about that, but yeah I'm not really interested in advertising for JRR, just VAMPS.

Well, I think they did something we can't do. I was watching Bento Beat Box (Japanese music show?) on Channel 18.2 (for LA) and they played I Gotta Kick Start Now, with J-Rock Revolution's logo in the corner. I don't remember if the person mentioned the tour though, cuz my mom was commenting on how the host was weird while that person was talking...XD
