And I also have a question: in 2008 K.A.Z broke his leg, jumping from the stage as I read somewhere. But thinking about it I just can't imagine that such person as K.A.Z would be doing something like this...

KAZ was playing with Oblivion Dust in the second day of the Hide Memorial Concert May 4,2008 (he had played with Spread Beaver on the previous day and he and Hyde had filmed the LOVE ADDICT pv the night before [see VAMPS blog May 2, 2008-MySpace]). he apparently misstepped when jumping onstage during the last song and fractured (broke) his heel of his left foot. required surgery with pins/screws to hold bone together.
this is the reason given for VAMPS not performing any promos for LOVE ADDICT, but did small interview clips on tv/radio/web/magazines instead. (look for their Yahoo interview of that year. i believe his injury was discussed a bit as he was still in an immobilizer at that point. used to be a subbed version i think.) he had to do physical therapy while the foot/heel healed (no pun
) and was very careful moving around onstage that first year. if you compare KAZ's typical Rock n Roll style on the FAITH dvd or any OD/Spin Aqua/hide with Spread Beaver clips, you will see that he was much tamer after his injury than he had been in the past..no jumping around any more. but that didn't diminish his outstanding playing or stage presence at all.
the story about saving the baby whales came from J's report on MS blog the day after the accident. you have to go all the way back in the blog archives to read those entries and messages from KAZ at the time as well. plus, there were many get well messages in the photo section.
the info is all out there, just takes time to go back to May 2008. a lot of the interview clips are probably down on YT, but maybe some of the other video sites have them. hope that clears up some of the mystery. ^ ^

Actually he jumped down off the stage onto a smaller part of the stage and I guess didn't realize it was higher up than he thought. He misstepped and that's how he fractured his heel in a few different places from what I've been told, during 24 Hour Buzz no less. I guess he tried to get back up but couldn't, however he didn't miss a beat when playing and stayed until all the shows were over >.< I do know Ken (Lloyd) was concerned and kept looking at him like "Why aren't you getting up man?" I suppose he could tell something was wrong. So there wasn't any baby seals involved actually just a misjudgment and a wrong step. His foot still bothers him to this day and probably always will since he had several metal pins in his heel and took about 3 months to heal, not completely but to where he could stand on it without the assistance of crutches. Funny how people keep saying its his leg he broke still even though it was his foot :S I guess he learned a lesson a very hard way :S I know people were pissed off at him but it wasn't like it was his fault. They had to reschedule OD's shows to December instead of being in May because of it. But yes he's a lot calmer now having broken his foot but that's good because he doesn't need to re-injure it.
