LOL we've been pondering last-minute plane tickets to California... but good grief that would be expensive.
Now that I've seen them twice, I should be happy, right? But no, instead it's like I want to see them again even more because now I know what I'm missing!

Could we all drive down? If someone has the vehicle, a few of us could share expenses.

Oh yeah...well I'm not sure if everyone thinks the way I do or if I'm just crazy but I feel like the song is for his song (and I think you meant, "the song is for his family")...down to when the phone was ringing towards the end of the song it just makes me flash to him calling his family, asking how they were that day, how much he misses them. I started crying during the song because I miss my younger brother who I see about once every two months (he's 3). Maybe the whole meaning is in my head but yeah he even wiped his eyes kind of nonchalantly at the end.
It's not just you, it's clear that it's about being away from your loved ones, the sound of the phone call. I have particularly loved the line, "Were you wonderful, today?" that he feels they are wonderful, and he imagines missing a day of them being their wonderful selves.

i've always thought Sweet Dreams was for his loved ones, ie: wife and son, foremost though it could be applied to his feelings for fans etc secondarily. seems like he mentioned that in an interview somewhere about being for fans. but Hyde never claims any song is for a particular individual. every one says Anemone was Megumi's song (probably so imo) but i've never seen or heard where Hyde actually admits this. it's all part of trying to keep personal life private. as it should be. for all WE know, he's written dozens of songs for his wife and child. or maybe none. usually when asked about a song he'll go into a particular feeling he wanted to capture or elicit, or how it has a particular seasonal feel etc. a friend and i were just talking 2 days ago about how he had described Kaze ni kienaide as a summer song while flower was an autumn song. and so it goes. ^^
look Billkwando, no paragraphs!! XD (my fingers are too tired and my brain is out of order.)

He also said his inspiration for covering Life on Mars & Trouble was "God".

No paragraphs is fine when you're not writing a Daniel Steele novel with no punctuation to match!

I didn't notice it & I was RIGHT in front of him (as in the only one who was closer was the camera guy & the concert staff/guards)...but who knows...he cried at the L'Arc one in Tokyo that I saw last year so it's not as if he's never cried @ concerts b4.

What a hoot! I'm glad you're a Youtube junky for sure.
Aoki is funny....but on the dvd, Hyde did not look too happy to have her on stage during the Punk-en-Ciel performance....just my opinion of course.

@ Akito: he tears up fairly often it seems. not always the same songs will trigger it i've noticed watching the dvds. and fan vids from various shows too.
@cathb: yeah, he didn't look very happy and if i remember right, yukki actually went to a different part of the stage. ken was the only one who acted gung-ho about her showing up at the studio. Aoki is a bit more than a handful, but pretty funny.
@Billkwando: love this clip, but felt a bit bad for L'Arc. they looked so surprised by the skits, like "gotta laugh or we really look like idiots". this clip didn't show it, but this was when Jojoushi came out on cd. they did a lovely, but short, version. and when the hosts abruptly stopped their wee interview i would have felt a bit like "you wasted all of our short time on those skits?? EHHH? WTF?" but that's just me. XD
Hyde has also admitted to crying during movies on TV and in Hyde's Diary/mag articles. just a sentimental kinda guy. nothing wrong with that.
