honestly, I feel sorry for people who like VAMPS and X Japan.
It's easy for me, because I've just never gotten into X Japan.
But HYDE's also my favorite musician in the world, so I would see him over anyone~
If they held the concert's so people could see both, I'd see X Japan just out of curiosity. If anything, they could both really help each other!
VAMPS Concert OCT. 1st + X Japan CONCERT OCT. 2nd = more attendence for everyone :)
of course maybe both bands already know this, and they've already made it so people can see both on the same day..since nobody knows yet where&when X Japan are playing first...do they? XD

I get that, I'm not saying it's NOT fun, I mean it's easy to move around to, it's got a simple time signature, and for all intents and purposes, it's good music, it just does nothing for ME.

So, you say they suck... But then you say they're good technically and negate them sucking by stating that their music is unmoving to YOU. They're musically quite well endowed, that's unarguable, but it's just not your scene, which is fair. They're not for everyone, no band is, but saying they suck when they obviously don't is just silly.

I guess it just comes down to taste. I don't find them to be generic at all. They are different than what I hear on the radio and they are lovely live <3
Most of the music I listen to is classic rock and I think if something is good, why stop doing it? I think some of VAMPS' music has an older rock feel to me, and since I like that type of music I like VAMPS. But they also play different stuff so not every song sounds the same.
Not too fond of most modern rock these days, VAMPS and L'Arc~en~Ciel are really the only newer bands that I love.

But from a general standpoint, not necessarily. Technically, I think Miley Cyrus is a good singer. She has a great technique and has potential to make great songs, but that doesn't change the fact that the music she DOES make (or the music of whomever she hires to make it for her) just plain sucks. @3@ I know the response wasn't directed towards me, but just thought I'd add my cents on that particular part.

is it me or are we getting a bit off-topic here?? I don't think we should be discussing which band is good, bad, better, etc since everyone has different opinions and therefore we will never agree and the discussion will go on and on and on. I thought this was more about these bands starting a North American/World Tour on the same day and speculating a bit about that xD
We should probably just wait until X Japan dates/cities are official =)
And I agree if VAMPS concert in LA is Oct 1st and X's the 2nd it would be Awesome!!!!! =D

I agree with all parts of your post Alekzalee. And to add my two cents, I think we're going to have to promote VAMPS a little more than what we're doing now, especially those of us in the cities and/or surrounding areas near the venues. If people don't know about the tour, then I'm sure that really won't help VAMPS at all either.

And I agree with you! we should promote VAMPS more! Even last year (with the street team promotion, the website, official flyers, and all) I remember some fans who didn't find out about the American tour until after it happened! we can't let it happen again with this world tour!
