RE: East Coast Loves Vamps! (EC Fan Project) - missykitty - 07-13-2009 ATTENTION EVERYONE!!! THE FAN BOOK NEEDS TO BE GIVEN TO VAMPS AT THE MEET AND GREET AT 2PM AT SONAR ON THURSDAY. I talked to Ai in person, and this is the only way possible. I cannot give it to them at Otakon, unless I give it to a staff person, but I want to give it to them in person. 2PM THURSDAY. DEADLINE. The book is still more then half empty, WE NEED TO FILL IT UP!!! If you were at previous shows and are going to Baltimore, PRINT PICTURES. Print photos you took of you and your friends in line, or signing the fan banner, or whatever. PHOTOS ARE GOOD TOO!!! PLZ PLZ PLZ!!! SPREAD THE WORD! 2pm Thursday. Deadline. Even if you aren't getting in line then, STOP BY AND SIGN AROUND NOON!!! RE: East Coast Loves Vamps! (EC Fan Project) - missykitty - 07-20-2009 Done. EAST COAST LOVES VAMPS book - complete. I was able to let the people around me be the first one into the autograph signing in Baltimore, so I was the first to see them and I gave them the fanbook. Hyde took it and opened it right away, there was a bookmark in it and he opened it to that page. I hope they liked it. I think they did, but I just hope they realize how many fans they have on the east coast. I met so many people doing this, and I hope you all had fun doing it. It was stressful, but fun. Anyone who saw it in Baltimore saw I also added pictures taken from Warped Tour and NYC (both of VAMPS and people in line!!) I'll upload all those photos eventually, as well as photos of every page of the fan book. So keep an eye out, I'll let you know when I do that! If you have any pictures to share about the fan book, please do! Thank you everyone for making this a success, and hopefully this will show now only VAMPS but other Jrockers that THE EAST COAST LOVES JROCK TOO!!!! RE: East Coast Loves Vamps! (EC Fan Project) - missykitty - 08-12-2009 PICTURES ARE NOW UP ON FACEBOOK!!! http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=99911&id=558017134&l=9718dd2646 The album should be viewable to everyone (with a FB account) so please tell me if there are any problems. It looked great!~ I actually didn't even get to see most of it before I gave it to them either, aha. XD I pretty much had to take it, put in a few pages I got from people, then we were all standing in line for the autograph session, me freaking out about going first so I didn't even look through either. |D (08-12-2009, 05:44 AM)mamikochan Wrote: thanks for putting up the pics. it turned out really well. next time i won't wait for day of to sign and will send a message ahead, just in case. ^^ Yeah, I wish I had thought ahead a bit more about that, but you live and learn. I couldn't have predicted how it would have turned out, but considering all, I think it turned out nicely. I wish it could have gotten to more people, but some people had the book far too long, and looked through it all and that took up time. ^^;; Now I know if I ever do a project like this again what to expect. It looked great!~ yeah, i think probably it would be best if it was stationary, like the banner, in a prominent spot so that anyone could access it. also, it might be good to have the more detailed artworks as separate pieces that people can sit down and work on, present when done and then glue/tape/staple them into the book, like the photos. this would keep the book open for the majority of folks in those last few hours to come up and sign. as people are moving along, passing out glo-sticks, tickets etc they could say "go sign the banner/thankyou card/fanbook etc. but if you try and pass anything like that down the line, i think someone should go along just to keep it moving. i know on 3 of my trips to look for the fb, it was in one 6 foot span all 3 times. a different person, but it was like 3-4 folk in 1 little group had it for a looong time. when you consider that i was #120 in line and it had just gotten to the group about 20 ahead of me in 3 hours and it was almost half down the front line when i got there.... i don't know if the thankyou for the staff was passed down the line, but it never got to my side of the building either. i did track it down when i went to sign the banner, so i felt good about that. we do live and learn, that's so true. that is the nice thing about being human. we can learn from our experiences. Oh well, can't change it now. XD If VAMPS/HYDE/L'Arc ever come back though, I think I would love to do something like this again, and now I'll know better, aha. |
