You don't need to drag a dummy, you have to add a placemark :-D
First you have to be signed in a google account (gmail f.e.) if you don't own one, make one, it is free and cool.
Then you go to the map, click on the "edit" button, then use a button with a blue icon that looks like an inverted water drop to add a placemark on your location, at Perú. Then you name the point with your nickname and write a personal message, then click "save" then "done".
Or... you can wait for the tutorial :-P

TO change the colour you edit your placemark, when the ballon with the editable text appears there is again the inverted blue drop icon on the right corner, you click on it and it allows you to choose a different appearance for your placemark. Hope this inf was useful ;-D

Sorry for late reply. You already added your mark.
And perhaps you could change the color too? (coz I saw a green pin in Peru.)
Otherwise, check the tutorial "CHANGE ICON COLOR". Hedelex's reply is better than my turorial though.
And of course you can promote the map as you like. Link to it, twitter it, make a banner, tell your friends, whatever.
