Because, again, it's not a regular ticket in the traditional sense. They need to be able to distinguish it from "normal" tickets and would need to relay that info to the people working security at the venues. So calling a ticket "V.I.P" would let security know that it's ok for people with such tickets to enter.

From what you all have said, it seems that V.I.P tickets are like nobiliary titles: they are flashy, sound cool and awesome, will open you many doors, but in the end they are not as useful as you might have thought? X-D

We ended up being able to get autographs! it was awesome! ^^ they just counted the first 200 in line, not what kind of ticket you had~
