LOL tracy what did they say when you called? I just did and they said "who?" I was like Vamps they're doing a tour here blah blah blah and she was like "O_o okay~ we dont know them sorry! What else can we play ^^'" i was like uhhh never mind then XD I asked if I could send them a song or something and they're like O_O really, if you want our address is on our website but we can gurantee we would play it we dont know who that is >_< But if we keep requesting they'll KNOW who Vamps is when we're done with them!
Do you want to send the songs tracy or should I?

Trying the local radio station thing would be a good idea... I'm just not sure if it will actually work. x____x
I know the biggest radio station here in New York is Z100, and if Vamps could get mentioned or played on there, that would be HUGEEEEE because everyone listens to Z100.
They actually played Utada Hikaru on Z100 after her in-store event in NYC not too long back, but that's because of the American release of her album too... but I think if they played Utada Hikaru, that gives me hope for Vamps.
I might try e-mailing them, or calling in one time, but I'm not sure how that'll go. :'D

Haha, yep! There's also PLJ (http://www.plj.com/) who aren't as big as Z100, but still pretty big.
And if you're gonna contact them, I will too, I mean the more people the better~ that's what we need - just everyone here to contact all the stations and maybe they'll catch on. 8D

Another thought I had which is fairly cheap. Mail a flyer to all of the high schools in your area in the chance they have anime clubs. Also, if you have access to a copy machine....make small flyers of even 1/4 page size and stick them under windshields.
There appears to be a core group of die-hards who are promoting but everyone needs to pitch in and recruit/bribe your friends to help out. We want them to come back and they won't if ticket sales are slim now. I'm afraid the two "mystery" dates won't happen because of low sales in other areas.
About sticking fliers under windshields - be very careful if you're doing that, because it's illegal in some places... I know that you aren't allowed to do it here, I don't know if it's the whole state of New York, but everyone on campus keeps saying you cannot do that and if someone finds a flier under their windshiled, they could easily call the cops on you and you'd be in trouble so... I would not recommend that. >_>;;
Taping fliers to your own car, however, I would recommend! :D I do that myself~! (I swear, the back window of my car is a promo board for tons of bands. |D) I did it to promote MUCC last December, and once I get fliers for this, I'm gonna stick a few in the back window of my car. ^_^ (And perhaps now that it's getting warmer, roll down my windows and blast Vamp as I drive~?)
And I have to say: these photos J linked to on the MySpace - gorgeous. I loveee the concert photos SO much. I do a bit of concert photography myself and those are just gorgeous, and I would love to get a chance to photograph Vamps. Hopefully at Warped Tour I'll be able to use my Nikon without getting in trouble... most places don't allow "professional cameras" without a photo/press pass. ;;
wow u guys can do a lot.... my town/state just has a stick in the... but..... it even went agent federal law regulating that if u have a company business u HAVE to have the businesses logo on it to clam.... u have an picters name or advertizment n we get pulled ove ticketed n fined..... bull...
i'm ganna have to send info over the web.... dont know many who 'support' vamps out of my state.... sighs

I emailed them told them I would send them a packet with some vamps fliers etc.. its easier to email them I make one email for all radio stations >_< but yes please contact them !!

Anyone know any other big radio stations? I don't care at all to contact them and send info to them I have no life other than VAMPS lolol so I have all the time in the world to help promote them..
Has anyone heard of a video podcast called diggnation? yeah well I'm a huge computer geek so i watch this show regularly i sent them an email a few weeks ago with VAMPS tour dates etc and asked them if they could possibly help me promote them since their show is based in CA. They still haven't said anything on their show yet though.. so I don't know if it will work or not but I tried.

Hello Everyone
Maybe we should start a guestbook for VAMPS fans who would like to hear vamps' music on the radio. Everyone who signs the petition should also agree to call the most popular radio station in this country and request one agreed-upon song from VAMPS, like the one in New York mentioned above. So here's a potential plan.
1. Vote here on the forum for a "mechanically sound" song that may appeal to people of various ethnic or cultural backgrounds.
2. Create a form where individuals from all over the country can sign the petition.
3. Set a date (a specific day) when petitioners may call one very large, very popular music station in the country and request the ONE song that won the fan election. In my personal opinion a song like "Time Goes By", "Life on Mars", or "Vampire Depression" would be best for rock lovers who are not already VAMPS fans.
Anyhow, maybe we could try to "pimp" the political aspects of popularity in the American music industry. What do you think?

Radio stations accept email requests, right?
If so then maybe once a week or once every two weeks we can all email the same radio station and request the same song.
I live in Georgia, but here's a rock radio station in Baltimore: http://www.98online.com/ - I don't know how popular they are because I just googled "maryland rock radio" but they were the first to come up. They have an option on the sidebar to request a song. It bring up a popup with a list of songs to request and a form at the bottom to request a song that isn't listed.

But won't we have to get them music first? I don't care at all to send them a CD with music I can buy the single for them on itunes again and mail it to them in a packet with fliers etc.. then once they have the CD we could request the song and maybe they would play it?
What song should we try sending them?

Well, I think when we mail them we can include contact information for J. Then if the radio station is interested they can contact J to get the song.
I'm not sure how radio stations work so I don't know if they'll play songs sent in by fans without permission from the record company first. So I dunno.
I think when Monoral went to South America J said he could send information to any radio stations that were interested.
But I'm not sure so...I'll mail J and see what he says about it.
And which song do you think would appeal to the most people? I'm not sure what people listen to these days because I rarely listen to the radio.
