I know quite a few of my friends aren't willing to go either because while they like Hyde, they don't like Vamps. -_- Which is what I don't get I mean, THEY'RE THE SAME EXACT THING!! KAZ was with Hyde when he was just Hyde too, so this is nothing new! :/ *sigh* I might have some convincing to do...

I kinda have to disagree with you on that. It's just my opinion too so please don't take it to seriously. =)

VAMPS is different from HYDE. VAMPS plays a very distinct style. Hard to describe, but it's nothing like HYDE. I will be honest, I prefer HYDE over VAMPS. The reason why I'm going it's cause it's hyde! With that being said, I'm not saying I'm not enjoying VAMPS music. I grown to like LOVE ADDICT and EVANESCENT is very good. But to say HYDE and VAMPS are the same, I have to disagree strongly.

I think they mean tht its the same thing bc if you go to a live they'll play most of HYDE songs as well, and its the same band members just under a different name.

I think they will stray away from HYDE once the album releases. It's a transition. I mean I'm pretty sure they will still play some of HYDE songs, but not as much.

I agree with you on that, it's a transition. That's what Hyde meant with the Hyde is Dead photobook. Is a different musical approach.

I highly doubt that it's because there are more venues this time. I hope that case isnt that some fans didnt get the memo that HYDE is now VAMPS.

Whatever the reason is, I will do my best to promote VAMPS. Been trying to convince this one friend of mine to go. ;)

----------------

Believe it or not, a lot of it may have to do with the economy as well. In addition, a lot of fans still don't know about VAMPS. That's a problem I'm hoping you guys will help me fix. ;)

-------------------

Yeah, I have to agree with polar and Usagi. The music HYDE did as "HYDE" is quite different from the works being done with VAMPS. I, personally welcome the change (in terms of music) because we get to see yet another example of HYDE's versatility, not to mention, much, much more of K.A.Z's creativity. I think it's great. I can't compare the works HYDE did in 2006 with those being done recently because, well, they're too different. The works now and from '06 & before inspire me differently, which is what I love about both HYDE and VAMPS. It keeps me interested and intrigued as to what either HYDE or VAMPS may do next. ;)

Much VAMPS-love,
H.P.

RE: VAMPS Live 2009 U.S.A. Promotion - Yumeko - 05-11-2009

I have to agree Hyde is different from Vamps too. While Evanescent sounds like a rock ballad we might hear from "Hyde"... Vamps sounds like it has a lot of classic rock influences and I didn't notice that as strongly on the Faith album (which K.A.Z. wrote half of). The differences are even more noticeable when you compare pre-Faith albums to Vamps music.

VAMPS-tastic! ;) I'll be posting some fliers around the L.A. area as well. Hmm...Little Tokyo should be a pretty good place to post some as well. ;)

We could also just post them on telephone poles at intersections and in front of buildings. People put up yard sale and lost dog signs. Why not VAMPS posters?

some places that's pretty much illegal now. at least in this part of NC. people sometimes do it, but not much anymore.
and i gave Toshi my address before. not sure where to post, but thought i could also send some to relatives in SC too. :D

If you're unsure about posting on buildings and such, try asking the owners if it's ok. Also, I know Duke University and UNC are in North Carolina, are you far from these college campuses - or any college for that matter. If you're not too far away, try taking some of the fliers to local universities and colleges. Locate the "East Asian studies" department or Japanese language department and ask if the professors/staff could hand some out to students. I know school will be ending soon, but it's worth a shot. Even just posting some fliers on the campus itself should be fine too. Bus stops, train stations, or any public transportation place would be a good place to post fliers as well. Good luck!

UNC and DUKE are several hours from here. i'm towards the western part, yet not in the mountains either. i have a niece in Raleigh/Chapel Hill area. if the flyers get here before she leaves to come back here for the summer...

i had thought of those types of places. i'll just have to see what i can do.

i hate to speak it, but a harsh reality we have to face is the economy. it's hitting some areas pretty hard. a lot of people who might have shown interest before won't be able to now, especially if it's a matter of traveling some distance.
