Waiting in line? ...I'd rather not...Can someone just like...give me a piggyback ride or something?
I just wanted to let you guys know, the day before (July 15) we're setting up a promotional party for VAMPS (and of course our organization Firefly). I would really appreciate it if you would come, and spread the word. We've been trying to help VAMPS as well. We'll keep you updated with further details.

Depending on the venue (I'm still waiting to hear back) there may or may not be a cover.
But how it's set up is(for the MD event), we usually have our resident DJ, who plays mainly hip-hop, but also has been mixing in our choice of music, Japanese mainly - Nana Mizuki, VAMPS because of the promotion, KREVA, some others, and probably Wishin y Yandel *laughs*, to yes, dance to and mingle with the crowd. From time to time, I'll break it up and ask for donations, explain about our organization, explain about VAMPS and their tour and how I believe we need to help spread music instead of keep without our country's boarders, etc...
Usually there is food, and I try to not limit it. I try to start around 4-6 and go until 2-3am (for the party kids), but once agian, I try to be very flexible for the venue.
I haven't quite set up the Baltimore one because it was just decided a few days ago. Hahah
We have had many events during, such as bachelor/bachelorette auctions, auctions for doing random acts, but I don't know how well these things would go over in a different city with a group of people that hardly know one another...or maybe they'd go over TOO well...

are you talking about having this at Sonar? can't see where that was addressed and most of us replying here so far come from out of town. probably will just be getting into Baltimore on the 15th. i know my flight doesn't come in til like 9:30pm or so.
please do keep the forum folk informed of the final plans. this is kind od a lifeline for us here.

no not at sonar, my hope is actually the Hard Rock Cafe which is right near the Hotel where Otakon is being held hoping it would bring in a big crowd.
The lady is reviewing my proposal right now though...

Hard Rock would probably suit the mood best. Just curious, is this an official-y party (as in, it got approval from vamps staff) or is it just something you're doing on your own?
I'm going to be staying in DC for the week of the concert, but maybe I could come by if I could convince my family. They want to do DC sight seeing.

no, it's approved and all. As I said, I'm a sponsor, I jsut don't sound it, because I believe in acting like family :P And I'm freakin 23 so I'm super stressed...hahahha
Hard Rock would be awesome, she sounds interested, there are just some minor technicalities..so hopefully we can work those out....

I'm probably going to be staying in Silver Spring the night of the 14th and 15th, which is about 40 minutes from Baltimore, so for me staying until 2 or 3am... haha, I might as well just go line up after that, no point in driving back and forth. :XD: But I would probably check it out for a few hours at least, maybe try and get some sleep before heading back to Baltimore to get in line for Vamps.
