I'm a Romantic & Transcendentalist, a conscientious vegetarian & pacifist, a definite INFP, but also a true Sagittarius. That's right people, I'm the liberal-academic-hippie-artist you've been told to fear & hate. ;) I'm prone to intellectual crushes (Gustav Mahler, Conan O'Brien, John Cleese, Haruki Murakami, Severus Snape ^^), think I could have been Izumi Shikibu in a past life, & would love to trade places with Shiina Ringo in this one.
After a ridiculous amount of tragicomical setbacks, I'm FINALLY finishing up my bachelor's program in Vocal Performance with a minor in Japanese Language. Next, I'm hopefully off to Japan with the JET Program & then on to pursue my graduate studies in East Asian Ethnomusicology. My goal is to bring Asian theatre to the Western stage through a collaboration of tradition, style, language, instrumentation, composers, & performers - all in the hope of expanding modern music, minds, & hearts. I'm also a strong advocate for early childhood ethnic music education, as I passionately believe that sharing culture is both the most powerful & effective act of diplomacy. ☆彡
If the fates decide to be kind, I'll be able to become a published writer/poet & then can happily live in blissful semi-hermitage (that's the INFP speaking~). Who knows where I'll end up along the way? |
