Personally, I kind of like celebrating Gackt's birthday more, but I suppose the birth of a nation is okay too. Hope everyone's day is filled with fireworks and excessive drinking.
I can't see the fireworks from my house and no one in my family drinks (or at least I've not confirmed it), so I guess I'm sort of out of luck today =X

Eat a hotdog and chug a glass of rootbeer!
We didn't even get to see fireworks in my town, it rained all day :/
But my brother's had a war amongst themselves shooting off bottle rockets and such, so it looked like they still had fun~
and my grandma made pie. it was delicious XD

Yes, two wondrous events of historic import, both worthy of great celebration!! Of course, Gackt is older, but I think that for its commitment to freedom and the pursuit of happiness and equality ~ even though we don't always get it right, we continue to aim for these ~ the United States does deserve some of the admiration, too.
