VAMPS International - L'Arc~en~Ciel International

I agree with both sides, surprisingly. On the one hand, I too expected it to be just a quick autograph and handshake, which is why I wasn't too crushed that I didn't win since I already did that last year. Which brings me to the next point: why make people jump through hoops to give them something so simple?

Also, Hyde signed the back of someone's neck and bites people's fingers, why not just sign someone's arm (or what was it?) That being said.... I'm glad they even give us the opportunities to meet them :)

I also knew it was going to be a simple meet and greet. I think what was misleading was the way the rules and prize were announced. With text saying things like they would ask you about your devil side and the video.

And yes, since it was a contest and it was few people, one would have expected more time with them. Not 30 minutes each but maybe a little more than 3? At every venue people that won got in and after 10 minutes they were out, in some venues it was 6 people in other 10 (5 winners + friends).

I guess that if they had just written on the rules and prize: meet and greet = quick signing, instead of the alluring way they wrote about it, they would have had even less people posting the videos. Since most of us got that like 3 times last year during the many autograph signings they had.

Also, the venues were no were close to being full so maybe that demotivated them or something. They did looked really tired.

True and true. They did write it as if they were promising more. From what I saw it must have been exactly the same as last year. In, handshake, quick words, out. :-/ Sad, really.

Also, yeah, most of us did get quite a few signatures last year if we went to multiple shows. They could have done more; at the same time, I can't help feeling that we shouldn't be ingrates XD At least they give you the opportunity. At least they return to the US after not so great ticket sales.

Don't take it from me, you were all there. You saw the number of people. :( I'm sure that makes them sad, if even a little.

I would not have expected much more than what they offered either except for perhaps they could have given the winners a special prize. Nothing big.....a signed poster or a piece of small merchandise from their Japanese collection that we cannot easily buy overseas.

But then again, they did not have to offer anything to us.

I think everyone need to chill a little.
I don't know why everyone is complaining. o_O' Maybe people's expectations were really high?
It's not like you couldn't TALK with them during the meet & greet. I exchanged a few words with them, it wasn't that hard. But you can't expect them to give each winner a 15 minute private session with two Japanese celebrities who don't speak amazing English.
For me this was a once in a lifetime chance, God knows when else I'd ever get to shake their hands and look them in the eyes and say stuff. I'm thankful!

About the skin signing thing I am sot sure, I have to ask again, but according to the two Polish girls who won the Paris Karaoke Jay said no when she asked if she could hug Hyde - Jay asked her in return if she doesn't want to hug him instead .

^_^ I posted a message before about my epic fail on meeting VAMPS, but was so embarrassed about it that I deleted it.

I just wanted to say that I had a feeling it would be somewhat of a production line - "hi" autograph shake hand "next!", "hi" autograph shake hand "next!" etc...but I don't and didn't care. I am so grateful to VAMPS for choosing the video. It meant so much to me. <3

My daughter made the video for me. Last year I started to go blind, and she wanted to give me a chance to see them clearly because no matter where I am at the concerts, I will never really see them. (hahaha-I have "blurry eyes".) ^_^ (it kind of dismayed me when someone said it would be lame if we won because not everyone has a classroom of people to use...she, my nephews and niece, their friends and our band kids all were so happy and enthusiastic about making this video...) We didn't think we had a chance. The kids were actually more hopeful than me. (kids!) LoL! When she called to tell me she won, I was screaming so loud I startled/scared the kids, and when I told them, they were so excited they started screaming too, in all our bands! (<3 the kids!)

I AM grateful - I just didn't tell hyde and kaz (and I really wanted to) because I managed to stick my feet in my mouth at the time. If they had given me more time, I KNOW I wouldn't have told them anyway. I would have stuck the other foot in there too, and my daughter's feet, and your feet, heck, everyone's feet in my mouth. Maybe I'm grateful they didn't give me time, I'm on a limited diet... hahahaha

The meet and greet was perfect (for me.) I got to see hyde up close (although he was still a little blurry, who cares!?) I shook his hand. I have his autograph. Most of all, I have that particular memory that I'll keep even if I go completely blind today, tomorrow, next year, or never. (Yay!)

yeah, maybe we are a little upset because after all that trouble we expected more... yet I still think they should have been more specific about it, because it sounded like there was going to be a little chat or something

Awww....that is so cute.....I would give J a hug for sure. He's so nice.
