I think if you got in a fist fight you'd have to deal with cops and not security. I don't think that would be worth it seeing as they'll probably take you away.
maybe we should do that thing again like last year where a notebook is being passed around to keep track of who is in line and mark our hands with the number. And if you're saving a spot for your friend, simply put their name down as well (max 3 friends per person). I really liked this idea last year and made things go smoother during the autograph session.

Yeah but still there were people trying to get into the line and Hedelex and myself went through fan drama because of that. People that didn't want to have a number on their hands or write the name because they were WAY back and then when they cut line really close to the entrance time they said: oh but I don't have any number ... and no I won't give you my name, no one is in charge of a line is a public place.. etc. at the end when we were going in she pushed us and ran and got in first.. wth. We still got front center though.

Was really annoying xox I guess/hope she's the exception not the rule T_T.

ugh! I still think someone or a couple of people close to the front should try to put up a list and give people numbers(using two different color markers is a good idea too.) If I'm there early enough I will but I'm only going to camp out for one night.
I mean, whoever does it shouldn't have to enforce it. Nobody should have their day dampered by disrespectful douche bags. If people just can't respect that others that have been there longer than them then they are assholes and hopefully God, or Buddah, or Muhamed, or Dracula, sorts them out later. I can't believe people where so juvenile about it last year. Well I can actually considering what happened at Dir en grey last year.
I don't understand how people go to things like concerts with being completely selfish.

I'm sorry to hear that happened to you. I think that some of the more rude concert goers should be aware that if they push or shove the wrong person at a show not only might the person push back, they might kick your ass. It's not like it doesn't happen.

Yeah, I only remember 2 young girls who cut the line during the autograph session time. The numbers on their hands were one hundred and something but they refused to go to their spots and pushed in front of me and a few others.
Wow WTF. i didnt know some fans were that rude.
Another question i should probably ask; are parents that're going gonna piss off people for taking space, u think? is there a place for them to hang out n drink like the House of Blues offers??

The Avalon has two bars inside. They'll most likely serve alcohol, so if you're 21 & over, you can get a wrist band. As for the line, if the parents have tickets, then no one will mind. Yeah...I hope to try and monitor the line more closely this year. It was too ridiculous last year. I plan on doing something similar and have people sign in with their name & friends' names. It might not work so much the day of the show, but at least a day or so prior, the line can be managed.

Much VAMPS-love,
H.P.
As far as the hand marking goes......I thought that was for the autograph signing session only. I went to 4 shows last year and that was the only venue that I had my hand marked for. And I sat for plenty of time in lines. Basically you know who is around you in the line......and most people are willing to hold your spot if you need to leave and use the bathroom or something.
I don't think the line needs monitored. It was fine last year. If you have someone hold your spot they are holding your spot. We had no problems in SF, Vegas or SD with people cutting really. LA wasn't really a problem either from where I was at. Now if an extraordinary amount of people are cutting in front of you saying they were there and they weren't there at all except an hour before the show then yeah but if someone sleeps over night and holds your position for you and you come there in the morning I see no need to monitor anything. I know in SF we marked hands and it worked just fine.
