I don't think VAMPS will be having fits about people saying nonsense. Of course I don't approve FB/MS users insulting them, but I do think, we are free to have opinions about the production of the DVD and the performances of the band members as long as we are respectful (and we are, right?).

We're not ungrateful. We just felt that out of every single concert DVDs released by L'Arc, HYDE, VAMPS that contains full set-list and 2 DVDs, this DVD pails in comparison. So in a way, we felt a little cheated.
I have to agree with iceybabes with the whole fan crazed thing. Has anyone seen any of them fan cams uploaded by people on youtube? They actually WENT to the airport and welcomed L'Arc during that L'7 tour, screaming and pushing. Example would be Hong Kong.
But I also do have to agree that crazed fans shouldnt get too much screen time. More on VAMPS less on Fans please. We didn't buy the DVD to see hell or random footages that the camera guy just felt like shooting cause he was bored.
Sound is pretty decent, not as bad as everyone makes it out to me. And I was watching it in HD on Youtube. The way it was shot was pretty good too, I like some of the shakey views, really felt like I was reliving the moment.
I have yet to find myself in the crowd, but lol, from what i've noticed, camera guys only film the girls.
I'm still debating whether I should buy the DVD. I really want to, but I'm set back economically. So I'm eyeing on the Taiwan version which is half the price of the Japanese release. only time will tell.

I think you said it best ^^ - Also, there's a scene in VAMPS LIVE 2008 in which the Japanese fans chase HYDE and Ju-Ken in HYDE's car, but they seemed happy to be teasing them with the vehicle's speed. In either case, though, the focus was on the tour as a whole, not just rambunctious fans.
To me, our criticizing the DVD shows our gratefulness. Constructive criticisms help the band consider their next direction, which is good. If all we did was say "I LUV DIS DVD IS GREAT CUZ ITS USA AND VAMPS!!!!" then they would have no idea what they needed to improve on and what the staff need to work on. Believe me, it may seem harsh from a fan's point of view, but to a musician, these are probably the best kinds of comments in the world (well, except the part where I said I was just going to look it up on YouTube instead of buying it).
If we just said typed "OMG DIS DVD SUX IM BOYCOTTING VAMPS AND HAET DEM SO MUCH FUXING BASTERDS" - THAT would be ungrateful. ;3
That's just my outlook on it anyway.

I think you both pretty much summed up what I wanted to say, but to add to your comment, it's not like we blame VAMPS personally. I mean, we don't post on their official web pages about how much this DVD sucks, how we think we got cheated, etc... Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and our opinions of this DVD were asked, so we gave it. To blame the band for producing the DVD is very, well...stupid. They have more important things to worry about, than editing a DVD (like, I don't know...making a new album, making final arrangements for the tour, etc...). This is why they pay people to create and edit the DVDs for them. Furthermore, being disappointed with this DVD does not diminish the amount of love and respect I have for them. If anything, I channel my disappointment into looking for better and more efficient ways to promote them. Well, that's my two cents. Have a good weekend everyone. ;)

SO I FINALLY WATCHED THE DVD!!!
I liked it as I was watching it. It's fun to see a few things VAMPS was experiencing. Especially the 9 yr old boys getting their autograph signed. They got good taste in music ;)
I liked it... UP TO THE POINT WHERE THEY FINALLY GOT TO THE LA PART. Every show was shown with clips of fans or VAMPS sight seeing town, but WHERE TF is LA?!?!!?!? We just got a close up of The Wiltern building and then bam! VAMPS performed! WTF WAS THAT?!?!?!? I was hoping to see some LA autograph session and fans waving at the camera, but there was none of that. I am utterly disappointed. Yeah, we got the 10 performances, but where's us?! I remember seeing some girls getting interviewed after the show but that wasnt in the DVD. *sigh* enough complaining... i bet everyone is tired of it already. Hopefully some of the US clips made it on to the Japan DVD. On to the good news,
I still like the DVD overall. Jealous some guys got to take pictures with VAMPS at the Warped Tour. Hedelex GOT A LOT OF SCREEN TIME. LOL she is very lucky. she stood out the most with her cosplay. Oh, I saw Heather too! Right in the middle of the crowd. But I didnt see me :( VAMPSCAM only film girls and not guys. *sigh* next time... i will strip naked in front of their cameras and get noticed.

XD I think you'd get tons of media coverage... but not from VAMPS.
Anyway, as much as I hate to say it, I can see why they focus mainly on girls. That is, the fact that it's their primary fanbase. On the FAITH tour documentary, they only focused on girls too, and even on the IMF interview with HYDE.
And VAMPS isn't the only one that does it, either, and it's very fucking frustrating. To put things into perspective, I take a lot of pride in my appearance. I spend at least 30 minutes of every hour of the day doing my hair, applying and reapplying makeup, using acne treatments that don't work, shaving, etc. etc. etc., but when I go to get my hair done, I have to suffer from getting less-than service because they consider a woman's hair a lot more important than a man's hair, which makes sense because usually women care a lot more about their hair.... BUT THAT'S NO FUCKING EXCUSE TO NOT GIVE YOUR MALE CUSTOMERS EQUAL TREATMENT. I even have to pay them LESS money to pay to get my hair done (which would be a nice treat if it weren't for the discrimination) simply to justify the cost of getting less service. WHAT? I'M NOT ALLOWED TO RECEIVE EXCELLENT SERVICE? THOSE HOURS I SPEND PREPARING AREN'T WORTH ANYTHING? HUH? HUH? WHAT? I'M NOT ALLOWED TO BE GIVEN PROPER CARE ALL BECAUSE I SUBSCRIBE TO A DIFFERENT SET OF ARTICLES BELOW THE WAIST?!! WELL, FUCK YOU, HAIR STYLISTS FUCK YOU!!! *expodes from anger*
