UPDATE:

Looking for: 3 or 4 people--we're pretty flexible
At: Sheraton
I have 3 people with me: 2 girls (age 18 and 17), 1 boy (age 18, my boyfriend--don't worry about him)
Room reserved for: July 16 - July 19. (We're all going for both VAMPS and Otakon so that's three nights).
Approximate total: $750
Estimated price (split between 6 people): $125 total
Note: None of us are those evil bitchy people you get stuck in a room with <3 and we're mostly Jrock fans + anime fans as well (just not over-excessively if you know what I mean x__x). I also have a dollfie (of my own character) so if you hate them or fear them then I'm sorry. =(
Other note: We can share the bathroom well I promise!! Also, the hotel thinks there will be 4 people in the room, so we got to sneak around and pack away some of our stuff in the morning before we leave. Usually we just throw suitcases under the bed--you know the drill.
Anyway, let me know if you're interested!
Thanks! ^-^

And post all your hotel dilemmas as well!
Hey All-

I know that Otakon has several hotels that give them better rates. One hotel is Sheraton Baltimore City Center. If you call with a group, you should be able to negotiate even more discounts. My guess is that you could probably get something around $125.00 a night, if not less.

Just one option...

Seriously?! That's funny because I just booked a room for Sheraton since it seemed like the best deal and it was for about $219 a night. How would I call with a group?
Thanks a lot, J <3

What you will have to do is get many people to book in one hotel and you get some kind of group discount for several rooms ^^, but is mostly more than 8 rooms depending on the hotel

Oh wow, thanks~ That's kind of impossible for me though. There's no way I know that many people!
many thanks for the info...Icon_cool
the best way is to book through otakon's group
http://www.otakon.com/hotels.asp
there's may be rooms still open but hotels inside the city completely sell out for otakon and usually super early too like by Jan all the cheap hotels are 100% booked.
Sheraton is expensive but it's also one of the best locations as its right next to the convention center and has a sky walk connecting to it.

If you don't find any room mates here try posting on the otakon forums as well :)

Thanks ^_^ and I already did.
Hi All-

I just searched http://www.orbitz.com again and found the Sheraton Baltimore City Center Hotel for $139.00 per night on the 15th for 2 nights... no problem. If you call and talk to a sales person you may be able to get that down, even if you only need a few rooms. You should not be paying over $200.00 for a room though. Also, I think the Otakon rate might be a little cheaper than Orbitz, so call and ask how much that is...

Hope that helps.

It does, thank you! Yeah I thought $200 was a little insane.
