VAMPS International - L'Arc~en~Ciel International

I managed to make 2 friends from peru and 4 friends from the states to go with me to the 2 last shows T_T! I wish I could do something more ;_; But we are so far away x.x

I went to OhTAisho! in NYC to have dinner and I saw the VAMPS fliers there. It made me really super ridiculously happy lol! My husband was rolling his eyes lol. It's good to know that some people did get the fliers/cards and spread them.

I know on the VAMPS_USA twitter one day they said NYC tickets were almost sold out - I don't know how true that is but if so, that's great. :) I really do hope shows are able to sell out, especially on the east coast, as it'll show any Japanese musician that yes, fans in New York, Baltimore, etc. do care too!

As for promoting. I did as much as I could. A lot of places I asked to leave fliers/put up posters told me no, but I tried.


I actually have about 3 posters left over that I can send to someone on the west coast, if you want. If anyone thinks they can use another 3 posters, let me know and I'll mail them out tomorrow, time is of the essence here!!! I'd just hate to have these posters sitting around... if no one wants them, I'm thinking maybe I'll bring 1 or 2 to each NYC and Baltimore, and us street team members/the leaders can think of a contest or something and give them away, idk.

Um, I haven't picked up my mail yet today, but I was getting worried because they haven't arrived yet..

Would it help if there was a targeted letter/email campaign to a tv news/entertainment/talk show asking them to feature a story on the band? I would think that it IS newsworthy on the grounds that:

-JROCK is growing in popularity in our culture
-HYDE's background
-The fact that people camped out overnight for two nights in NYC
-The fact that the FAITH concerts in CA sold out w/in minutes (we can just say that figures for this tour aren't available yet).

We can also mention hyde w/respect to L'Arc and the month long wait in line that folks in... was it Thailand? camped out in.

Maybe NOT a major show at first, but certainly the morning shows that most local stations have. I'd go for TV vs. radio, although if we did target radio stations, perhaps a CD or two could be provided to the station?

W/everyone writing at once, you think they'd take notice?

I second :-D I just don't know about that kind of shows ;_; I'm from Mexico, and about USA celebrities I only know E! Entertainment Televison and MTV channels exist X-D
If someone can provide the addresses or e-addresses (Internet is the future :-p) I will gladly send letters/petitions and pass on the info.
