New York City VAMPS Fan Project

Anyone going to the New York City [FILLMORE at IRVING PLAZA] want to organize some fan project?

I'm planning to make a huge banner saying "Welcome to USA/NYC VAMPS" or something and have fans sign it on the day of the concert. In addition I want to give some gifts to VAMPS.

Anyone wants to take part in this? PM me or post a reply here.

1. Banner
The banner design is not finalized yet, but it seems like we're leaning towards this design:

Please give feedback and opinions. Is there anything you want changed or added into it?
**note: remember people are going to be signing on the banner, so we can't have dark or too much designs on it. Keep it simple and clean, so New Yorkers on the streets can also see it! Picture here: http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/5034/bannerxar.jpg

2. Glow Bracelets!
We are planning to buy a bulk of glow bracelets and pass it out to everyone on the day of the show! Help glow up the venue and show VAMPS our support! VAMPS would definitely be overwhelmed by the sea of glowing bracelets! bought. view pic here: http://img40.imageshack.us/img40/2238/glowsticksj.jpg

3. Thank You Card to VAMPS' staff
I will be making a huge card for the staffs who helped make this tour possible.

4. ~~Food/Drinks~~/Small Gifts for VAMPS & staff (not finalized yet)
If we have extra money we are planning to buy ~~a whole of food&drinks~~ gifts for VAMPS.

To make this all possible, we need donations!
Banner (and shipping) is about $40.
Glow Bracelets (QTY: 500 - 600) is about $35

That's a total of $75!. I'm planning to pay for the Thank you card myself, and I will be also pitching in some money for the banner&bracelets. So please help us out and donate. Even if it's $10, it will be greatly appreciated.

P.S. Please help spread the word around! Ask VAMPS fans that you know are going to the NYC concert to help donate!

I think that's a good idea and I'm all for it! Count me in. :)

I actually wanted to do something huge for Vamps, but I'm not sure... I was actually thinking too, make something from all fans who can and can't go - advertise on LJ or such, and have people send me stuff to make them a scrapbook.
I've never done such a thing before though and wouldn't actually know how to go about it... but I figure there's time, and if nobody does something like that for the east coast shows, I might.

Or even, since I'm going to all the east coast shows, I can have a book with me and have people sign it at all the east coast shows, write messages, etc. and then give it to them in Baltimore, just thanking them for coming to the east coast. Exclamation

Do you know if there's going to be a place at all of the shows where people can leave gifts for the band? (IIRC, there was at most of the Faith shows)

BTW should we have a live journal community where people who wants to participate in this? What would make it easier to communicate with? (like if there's updates and stuff) What do you guys prefer?

Good question about if there will be a place to leave stuff. I'm sure there will be somewhere, I wasn't too worried about that. I'm curious though if they'll have an autograph signing or anything after any dates. (If they do, I want there to be a limit - ie you need to get a ticket and only 100 people or so, because at the NYC MUCC show, they didn't do that and pretty much everyone got in line for autographs. For the LA show they got smart. >_>; I don't want that to happen again to NYC.)

I really hope to be able to give Hyde and Kaz something in person though, somehow. I think I'd be able to find them, I have faith in myself. xD

I think an LJ comm for fan projects would be good. It can be for the entire tour too, not just NYC/east coast, so everyone can communicate, maybe? (Or perhaps just a comm for east coast would be better...)

Of course, if I did something like that, I would be sure to post everywhere I could. xD I don't know all the LJ comms for Hyde/L'Arc though, as I'm only a member of vampsband and larcenciel myself, so knowing about more of those would be good.

I'm still thinking on this and if it would be a good idea... I mean, just a scrapbook with everyone from each show signing seems almost unoriginal. Idk. xD I'm thinking on this, I really do want to do something from all the east coast shows though, thanking Vamps for remembering us. (Of course, not to say the west coast fans are unthankful or anything, or that those who can't make it aren't sad, but... I mean, can't please everyone, and obv I have nothing to do with the west coast. |D)

no. i know what you're saying. the east coast usually doesn't get many shows, so it WOULD be good to have a thank you from all 4 shows separate from WC. that would be an acknowledgment that they(Hyde, Kaz, staff) went to extra effort to find venues on the east coast. i totally go along with that idea.
maybe set it up so people could do small fanart pieces or letters and send them to you ahead of time. i know this is based on one of the ideas proposed at the VAMPS US street team on MS. but a good idea is still a good one. and that is for all VAMPS fans, not just EC/WC/show attendees. right?
