Hmm...I asumming that if there's an opening band for some shows, there would be for all shows, right? But that would be beyond amazing if acid android or tetsu opened for Vamps...but most likely not going to happen! >__>
Live Nation lists VAMPS performing with The Exies at The Wiltern >.<
I thought this show wouldn't have an opening act :(

I don't even know who they are...
OMV that's right!!! LIVE NATION lists them, and this site lists them too!

An opening band was billed for the Showbox, in Seattle, but did not appear, with no acknowledgement of their absence from the Showbox.

Thus were we blessed with two nights in the Pacific NW, of sheer pure VAMPS.

However! if they're filming the lion's share of the DVD at the Wiltern, I wonder if that makes it more likely the opening band will appear, and that that band will be someone special.

Okay, I take it back - I see the Exies listed. (I previously said: Regarding the Exies, has the website changed since you last looked? As right now, LiveNation isn't showing anyone but VAMPS, at the Wiltern, Aug 1st.)

(Maybe word is getting around, on the concert route, that VAMPS' audience is not interested in any opening band with whom hyde would not do a duet.)

No, the info is there... just discreetly displayed X-D Look

EDIT: I think an explanation would be that The Exies LIVE comes AFTER VAMPS LIVE... but the tickets to THE EXIES redirect you to VAMPS tickets, but as they are listed, VAMPS play before Exies O_O

If Vamps play before them, that would make Vamps the opening band. Disturbing, to say the least. Talk about an angry crowd.

Ever since the neo-punk rock band's creation, hyde and K.A.Z have dreamed of opening for the Exies.

Indeed, it is rumored that the song, Existence, is a secret tribute to the Exies, whose name is taken from the word, "existentialists," a slang term for existentialist art students, first coined by John Lennon.

It was John Lennon, in fact, who first introduced hyde to the American band. At the time, a member of the Exies was often seen in public as the third in a triad, with Lennon and his wife, Yoko Ono Lennon.

Yoko's brother had been hosting hyde, during a tour, in Japan, when hyde first came to John and Yoko's attention. Lennon, who, much like another legendary rock icon, had a none-too-secret man crush on the androgyneous vocalist, encouraged hyde to come out with them and attend some performances by the punk band, at the time performing under the name, Highly Suspect. hyde enjoyed their American punk style. He performed twice with them, in a small club, the Bastion, and hyde subsequently corresponded with the Exies band mate, over the years.

Their billing at the Wiltern will be the culmination of years of mutual admiration. K.A.Z has remarked in interviews, that he wants to perform with a guitar signed by all of the Exies, and is said to have had a guitar designed especially for this purpose.

Thus completing the six degrees of separation between hyde and John Lennon, in only 4 rounds.
