Ok, this is the third thread I have created about the fanbook (my apologies, Tokio). However, this project is very important. The deadline for the fanbook has passed. HOWEVER, I have extended the deadline until next week on JUNE 12th. The very, very last day to send your submissions will be June 28th. Unfortunately, I can't extend the deadline any longer than that because it really does take a lot of time to add your works into the book.
For those of you just tuning in and are curious about this project, the goal of this project and the idea behind it is this: I am in the process of creating a fanbook that will consist of fanart, messages to VAMPS, VAMPS-inspired photos (i.e. cosplaying, people doing "V" for "VAMPS"), etc... I really want people who are unable to attend VAMPS shows in the U.S. this summer to submit their work. The book will be given to VAMPS at their show in Los Angeles (August 1st).
This is an opportunity to have your voices heard and to let VAMPS know how much you appreciate all they've done. ANY VAMPSaddict is more than welcome to participate, but I highly encourage those who are not going to a VAMPS live to participate. It is also really important that fans all over, from different areas participate. That way, VAMPS can see that they're loved in all parts of the world. ;) VAMPS work hard to create the music that they do. Also, they work extra hard to make their music much more accessible to fans overseas. This fanbook is also being created in an effort to say, "Thanks."
The fanbook will be divided into the following sections: fanart, photography, and messages. Please read on for a description of each section, as well as for submission guidelines.

TRADITIONAL ARTWORK
One section of this book is dedicated entirely to fanart. Fans are welcome to submit drawings, paintings, etc... Inspiration: your love for VAMPS. Do you have some HYDE, K.A.Z, Ju-ken, Arimatsu, or Jin artwork that you'd like VAMPS to see? Were you particularly inspired by a HYDE/K.A.Z/VAMPS song one day and decided to create something? These are just ideas in case you're wondering what I mean by "fanart." I think VAMPS will be really touched to see artwork fans have created as a result of being inspired by VAMPS' music or even by VAMPS themselves.
I am unable to provide an address for you to actually mail me your work, any traditional artwork should be scanned and e-mailed to me.
Scans: one way to submit your work of art is through scanning. Please make sure the resolution of your scan is set to 300 dpi. Otherwise, if it is much smaller than that, it will become very pixelated. If you need help changing the resolution, please send me a PM.
Photos: another way to submit a traditional artwork is by taking a photo. If you choose to do so, I recommend taking the photo outside. Natural lighting works best in these instances and will help prevent the photo from coming out too dark.
Size: the fanbook will be 7 x 7 inches. Works of art can be in any size, but please be aware that they will be scaled down to fit on a 7 x 7 inch page.
*Please also make sure to include the following information with your submission:
- Title (If there is one.)
- Artist (How would you like me to credit you?)
- Medium (i.e. Did you use pen, pencil, acrylic paint, oil paint, ink, etc..?) Also indicate what you drew/painted the image on (i.e. canvas, paper, etc..)
- Size (What is the size of your submission? I.e. 18 x 24 inches, 7x7 in, etc..)

MESSAGES
This section will consist of fans' message to VAMPS. Messages should be written with the idea in mind that VAMPS may actually read it. So, please try to keep your messages appropriate (you can use your judgment in that regards). Of course, I encourage you to be creative and really express yourself. Also, please put your heart into what you write. Only you can be the judge of that, so I will also leave that to your discretion. The message can be as short or as long as you want it to be. I will edit the messages for any grammar/spelling errors. Please note that VAMPS' comprehension of English is limited, so a friend of mine will be working on translating the messages into Japanese. Messages in all languages are welcome. However, I am only fluent in English, so if you could provide an English translation for your message, that would be really great. If you can't, that's fine too. We'll work something out.
Ways you can submit your messages:
- E-mail/Private Message (PM)/MySpace message: you can type your message to VAMPS in the body of an e-mail/private message and send it to me on this forum, MySpace, or here: i.heart.vamps@gmail.com
- Letter: if you decide to write a traditional letter, please scan it (or take a photo of it) and e-mail it to me here: i.heart.vamps@gmail.com
Please keep in mind that the resolution of your scan of the letter to VAMPS should be at least 300 dpi. If you decide to take a photo of it, again, try to do so outside in the sunlight. Natural lighting works best.

PHOTOGRAPHY
This section will consist of photos of VAMPS fans. For example, this section will have photos of fans cosplaying as members of VAMPS, fans doing "V" for "VAMPS," fans doing other "VAMPS-inspired" things, etc... These are just to name a few ideas. Artists really, really love to see photos of their fans, VAMPS included. I think this will be a great opportunity for VAMPS to literally see all of the people they have touched and inspired.
Ways to submit your photos:
- You can upload your photos to an image-hosting website (i.e. imageshack.com or Photobucket) and send me an e-mail or private message with the link. Photos that are e-mailed should be sent here:

- You can also just simply e-mail me your photo here: i.heart.vamps@gmail.com
Deadline extension: June 12th
