ok, i have a bit of a question. the last promo notice i got from Sonar, they had added yet another show at the venue on the 16th. 1) VAMPS will be in the Main Stage area at 8pm. 2) THE AUDITION & THE HIGHER
RUNNER RUNNER : THE HOODIES : STORM THE BEACHES : EVER SINCE EBBWOOD will be starting at 6pm on the Club Stage. and now,3) THE SPINTO BAND, THE SWIMS : AND THE MONEYNOTES will be at the Talking Head Club, also at 8pm. Icon_eek

we've already got the crazy line issues with the Meet and Greet at 2pm, folks having to deal with their Otakon passes etc at, what, 5? so there will be 2 other shows with at least a line up an hour before those shows. the logistics are making my head swim. has Sonar made any mention about this to those who have asked about the autograph session? Icon_question

i'm not trying to alarm anyone else, i'm alarmed enough by myself.Icon_scream i know they were fairly dismissive about lines early on. but now the world has changed and VAMPS aren't just some ordinary band they're dealing with. Icon_heart even if they had never heard of them before. haha, i bet those people won't forget VAMPS and their Horde anytime soon! ^ ^

I wrote to Sonar a few days ago asking for details about getting into the autograph session and getting back in line. The manager wrote me back and said this:

"The meet n greet is at 2 pm and doors for the show aren't until 8 pm. People who line up for the meet n greet will file into the venue in the order they were waiting in, first come first serve. Once they have met the band they will then have the option of either getting back in line where they were to wait for doors to open, or leaving and getting at the end of the line later on in the day."

So I suppose that means they're expecting a line for VAMPS now (which is good). I had also noticed that there were other bands performing that day, but hopefully we'll be able to work it all out, especially since we'll be getting a head start and forming a line very early in the day.

Ahaha, that's certainly true, Sonar won't forget VAMPS anytime soon at all. XDD
(I remember when I saw Tokio Hotel at Irving Plaza last year, as we were waiting for them to come out afterwards, I overheard a security guard saying he hadn't seen fans that crazy since the Backstreet Boys were there! XDDD)
Quote:"The meet n greet is at 2 pm and doors for the show aren't until 8 pm. Thanks for the info, Noctilca! ^____^
You have saved me from having to worry.

And speaking of Tokio Hotel fans, I really hope that the VAMPS
fandom is more mature and considerate than Tokio Hotels'.

I also went to see TH last year, and I don't think
I can handle a crowd like that again. Icon_gonk

Oh, I definitely think so. Comparing any Jrock live to TH shows, Jrock lives aren't as bad. I mean in a sense the crowd is just as excited, but you don't have the 12-year old girls with their dads who are trying to protect them right up front. ...and I've never actually fallen DOWN or almost lost my glasses at a Jrock show. And that's happened at TH lives TWICE. x_x So. >_>;; I have more faith in Jrock fans, for sure.

OMG *LMAO*!!! Soo guilty here. It's like you're talking about my crew! Our family went to see TH. I have a 12 year old, and my husband had to go rescue her from the impossible crowd. *not laughing now* It was scary. A terrible crowd inside! very inconsiderate! In our case, It was actually the older teens and college age that were unruley. My 12 year old was only worried about breathing. She was literally being crushed, and when the curtain opened, she was squished down to the ground and was literally under ppl, and no one cared. We had no clue to expect that it was going to be that bad... we had never been to a "standing room only" concert before. I caught the whole horrific incident on camera too. Once he rescued her and she got her wind back, she enjoyed the show on the balcony with us.

She's coming with again, she's a fan like all of us, just smaller. Got the same $30 ticket as everyone else. hehe
Ya, but we have learned our lesson. She will definately stay in the back with my husband just in case, as my 16 yr old and I go closer, but I refuse to push ppl ahead of me to get closer. I think that's rediculous!

And I'm hoping the 2:00 meet and greet will settle the fans need to see them up close~ U know. Also, I read the few reviews on Sonar, and someone said that you can see perfectly from where ever you are in there. So there is no need for all that pushing and shoving. I think it will be ok. I also have more faith in VAMPS fans.

That doesn't sound good for ticket sales, but maybe the lines won't be as bad because of it.

How are we supposed to get our tickets from will call if they open @ 8 and we're already in line btw?
So the Preliminary Event Schedule's been posted yesterday, and now the panel is scheduled for 1:45pm. And wtf @ it being before Opening Ceremonies Icon_eh2 Aren't those supposed to be done earlier? Icon_confused And there's no indication of an autograph session...but since it's preliminary, maybe they'll add it...or is it gonna be part of the panel time? oh god I'm freaking out again Icon_gonk
wow, this got a little more confusing since I read this last...
So there's only going to be ONE line for the VAMPS concert festivities? So basically, the concert line can't begin until 3:00. Is that right? Also, about otakon... can someone explain that a little better? I'm super confused on what has to happen in order to get in with the special pass people. So once we get a special pass at the sonar, will there be a special pass line for the VAMPS panel at Otakon? Let's try to figure this all out. I really feel like typing out our collective schedule to make it easier on everyone XD... confusion is not fun and I don't even think a lvl 20 teleportation will help us.

I noticed that VAMPS_USA said this on Twitter:

"Since we moved to signing to Venue, we won't have a special pass. Everyone can get in to VAMPS panel at Otakon."

Sounds like there won't be a signing at the Otakon panel now?

Okay, I'm getting really confused, too...do you mean we can't line up at Sonar until 3pm? Where did it say that? Icon_confused

Otakon hasn't written me back about the panel passes, either. *sigh*
