Hi there! I just read J's My Space post and he said that we should list the businesses info of those places that let us post Vamps Tour info ^_^ so they appear as sponsors and we don't repeat places! Also post promoting ideas ^.^

I will start:

I posted on my blog and told friends I have in L.A about it! I'm even taking people from Peru! (hard to convince regarding flight fees lol).

I have friends helping me out with the fliers in different states, some won't even go to the concert but they love me enough to help me out, cause I am abroad Icon_crying

Also! I did something many other Vamps fans should do, I got a friend who didn't know Vamps and could take me from one city to another, and instead of paying him with fuel for his car I bought him a ticket, so he could stay with me and take me back the next day. Since he offered to do so for free the least I could do was reward him with a concert!

It sounded like J had taken many of our ideas. Besides wearing T-shirts and having posters on our cars, you could also just make a sign and hold it up in front of you. Riding the bus? Sit with that sign up. Walking at the mall or eating at Micky Ds....prop that sign up. This is dirt cheap and anyone can afford it.
Another thought I had which is fairly cheap. Mail a flyer to all of the high schools in your area in the chance they have anime clubs. Also, if you have access to a copy machine....make small flyers of even 1/4 page size and stick them under windshields.
There appears to be a core group of die-hards who are promoting but everyone needs to pitch in and recruit/bribe your friends to help out. We want them to come back and they won't if ticket sales are slim now. I'm afraid the two "mystery" dates won't happen because of low sales in other areas. Icon_cry

About sticking fliers under windshields - be very careful if you're doing that, because it's illegal in some places... I know that you aren't allowed to do it here, I don't know if it's the whole state of New York, but everyone on campus keeps saying you cannot do that and if someone finds a flier under their windshiled, they could easily call the cops on you and you'd be in trouble so... I would not recommend that. >_>;;

Taping fliers to your own car, however, I would recommend! :D I do that myself~! (I swear, the back window of my car is a promo board for tons of bands. |D) I did it to promote MUCC last December, and once I get fliers for this, I'm gonna stick a few in the back window of my car. ^_^ (And perhaps now that it's getting warmer, roll down my windows and blast Vamp as I drive~?)

And I have to say: these photos J linked to on the MySpace - gorgeous. I loveee the concert photos SO much. I do a bit of concert photography myself and those are just gorgeous, and I would love to get a chance to photograph Vamps. Hopefully at Warped Tour I'll be able to use my Nikon without getting in trouble... most places don't allow "professional cameras" without a photo/press pass. ;;

Thanks about the warning for the flyers on the cars! I didn't know it was illegal. Rats.
Another legal idea.....lol. Many public libraries have anime/manga/Japanese clubs. Ask the teen librarian if they would have the flyers available at some meetings.
You know.. we should all pick like one radio station each day and every single one of us call them until they agree to play vamps.. if we all would call them maybe we would have better luck? because if i call my radio stations here and its just me asking the chances of them ever playing vamps is none. We should call some of the bigger radio stations and all of us ask them to play vamps.

and Jazmin gave me an idea this morning.. I have a few extra tickets to some of the shows.. I wonder if a radio station would give those out for me like a contest of some sort?

You are a kind person to offer the extra tickets. I think it is a great idea. I have NO idea how they get their music nowadays. We would probably have to supply it for them unless they get it from Internet sites. Anybody know?
Well i would gladly buy the single for them from itunes if they would play it..

also i made a post on craigslist for them.. it wouldn't let me post links though since my account is new which sucks i had this big huge post for them with links to their myspace ,all of the venues, the pictures of them etc >_<

You can Google lists of radio stations for cities. I'm going to work on contacting ones in the San Diego area and see if I get any bites. I can't do it now because the school filters block almost everything.....not this site yet...they haven't found it so far. (knocks on wood) Project for tonight.
I really do like your idea of giving away the free tickets. I wonder if J could get a cache and send them to the radio stations if we get them to agree to the promotion? Perhaps 2 per interested station?
I did notice that the newspaper for the San Diego area has the show listed on their website. BUT you have to be looking for it to find it.
Also....do you think we should agree to promote one song as a group? Keep it united across the country? If so, which one?
Hello!!

Well I live pretty close to some radio stations here in Austin so I'm thinking of actually going TO the station and talking to them.. I think its better than the phone XD That way I can find out how to give them the songs and tickets that they can give out ^^ I'd so love to do that! I just hope they agree!

Btw, Anyone from Austin, TX I'm going to 101X If you want to call them and request VAMPS for that when I go they atleast have heard of them XD If anyone from here knows of a station that would b good going to I'd be up for the trip ^^
I just contacted this station http://www.kiisfm.com/main.html and asked them if they could play vamps music I told them I would send them some fliers etc of vamps as well. Their request line is 1 (800) 520-1027 maybe if we all call them and ask them to play vamps it will work.. this radio station is in LA we need to contact radio stations in every city their going to be playing in and at least try to make them aware of VAMPS existence.
