Mars and Trouble both are in English.. yes they are covers but I think it will at least show the radio stations they are interested in singing in English as well and not just all in Japanese. By sending them all songs we can pick which one we want to call and request we really don't have time to send just one and hope for the best .. we have to fire everything we have at them if we want to have any chance at all of getting VAMPS played on the air.

THAT and we have to show them we love ALL of their music not just Love Addict
^_^ YES! I mean I know America is open to playing songs in other languages.. its been done before and we can make it happen again :)
For radio stations in San Diego, I would suggest contacting these.

Yeah, but on a major radio station? That was my point. Some smaller stations may or may not play VAMPS; but from my experiences, I found it really hard to sell them to any station. Granted, Los Angeles is a big city and radio stations here probably get hounded with demo tapes/CD's everyday. But anyway, I think you guys are doing a good job with what has been done so far. Oh and you can request songs even if they don't have them. It's a long shot, but this could happen *lol*:

You: Hi, yes, I'd like to request such-and-such song by VAMPS.

DJ: VAMPS? Who are they? Never heard of 'em.

You: VAMPS are this really cool rock band and to date, they have released 3 singles. They even did a cover of David Bowie's "Life on Mars?," which sounds really awesome. If you're interested in playing VAMPS, I can send you their CD and put you in contact with their manager.

Obviously, the above would be an ideal situation and would probably never happen. The reason I also suggest requesting the songs as they're being sent out is because that way, the DJs can become familiar with the name "VAMPS" and if they happen to come across one of the many CDs being sent, they could be like, "Oh. This band sounds familiar." We're running out of time, so I think we should utilize all our resources. ;) Good luck everyone.
I did call and i did get that response a bit more cynical of course lol And I told them I was part of the streetteam for VAMPS I told them they were doing a huge USA tour here from NYC to CA and named the big venues so they knew it was big event. Again I didnt say they were Japanese, they would've hanged up without trying it first.. I went as far as telling them that as a member of the street team we would want to give away tickets and if we could through them.. 9th caller or whatever. She was like ok send me a demo cd address is on the website and if we get good results after we'll see about giveaways.. I think really is KNOWING HOW to talk to them because to me they sounded interested. If they dont play the music fine but we got them to listen! In the end that's our goal to get attention from them

Oh great! Which station did you call that you were able to get a response from? I tried calling KIIS FM, but due to my area code, I can't get through. I was able to request VAMPS on KROQ, but I don't think the guy knew who VAMPS were. Well, he didn't say he didn't know who they were, so that's a good thing. ;)
@Jazmin: Nice! Yeah, I think HOW you speak to them is somewhat important. I think if someone sounds to unsure then they'll assume your some lowly fan or a desperate band and ignore you. Good job on getting them interested.

So, if they accept to give away tickets, do we pool our money to buy tickets to give away or do we suck up to J?
Well i have an extra ticket to all of the shows in CA so i would be willing to use that the only thing is the tickets for San Diego have our names on them and my extra ticket has my name so I'm not sure if that would work or not.
...there's a lot being posted and I don't remember all that's said or what I've said myself sometimes, so forgive me if I repeat anything.

Just wanted to say I got my fliers/poster today and... I have no idea where to post the poster, I'm thinking Kinokuniya in NYC might be a good idea.

But I've already put some fliers in the back window of my car~

Moving advertisement! \m/
As you can see, my back window sorta already catches attention with Hello Kitty sticker, so hopefully if someone is walking by my car they'll stop and look closer at the flier.
